Nikki’s Review:
I knew from the get go that I was going to fall hard for Asher. Hell, I knew it in book 1 when he came onto the page. I was not disappointed.
I love second chance romances. I love the history between the characters and all the angst that comes with it. Asher and Remy have a past riddled with shared heartbreak, and this is where the angst that I like so much comes into play. Asher blames himself for the shit storm that Is Remy’s life at the moment, and she’s trying to move past all the hurt. I could really feel all of the emotion. It grabbed a hold of my heart very early on.

One of the things that I found a bit frustrating was the lack of communication between the hero and heroine. I mean, I understand where it comes from, but a conversation would saved them from a whole bunch of sadness. But that’s not how most romances books work. And honestly, even though it was something I struggled with, I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m a sucker for punishment. I crave the journey.

This is a great series. It takes place in a small coastal town, and has some quirky characters that you might find in a place with a small population. Lots of busybodies who mean well, but aren’t so subtle in their prying ways. I like that the main and secondary characters are close. They have a lifetime of memories between them all.

Mixed in with all the crazy sexiness in this book is some really good suspense. There’s a new character that’s introduced, and I can’t help but hope he gets a story. He has that anti-hero thing going on, and I find those guys absolutely irresistible.
Everything moved along really well in regards to the plot. I found myself wanting to read late into the night, even when tiredness was hanging over my eyelids. That doesn’t happen all that often for me. I like losing myself in a story that makes the lack of sleep totally worth it. Wicked Sinner did that and more. It was fun, suspenseful, and wickedly delicious.
