Lover Reborn Book Signing

I went the Lover Reborn signing in Cincinnati on Saturday with some friends and while I live tweeted all the details from the Q&A, my friends were good enough to take great notes so I could post everything here. 

The next book in the series is Blay & Qhuinn’s. Team Qhuay for the win!!! A massive roar and thunderous applause went up when she made this announcement. Book will be released in 2013, but wasn’t told an exact month. However, we usually get a new BDB book in March, so I’m guessing we have about a 1 year wait.

Why was there no mention of the bonding scent in Tohr’s book? Males only have bonding scent with one female. Tohr bonded with Wellsie first, so that is who he released his bonding scent for. Tohr’s bonding scent went away when Wellsie died. Even without the bonding scent, males can still love another and have a happy life with another female.

Asked about graphic novels and said she has no plans for them, but that would be up to her publisher.

Muhrder will be coming back. May or may not be in Qhuay’s book.

Sympaths will take more active role in the battle in the future.

When asked if there would be a threeway between Blay, Qhuinn and Layla she said hell f’in no! Would be afraid the fans might try to take her out if she did so.

Wrath has his shit together.

Assail is a mystery in itself.

Not sure if we will ever meet Butch and Manny’s father. He is a non-tran vampire who is probably still working in hospitals spreading his seed across the country.

We will get books about the Shadows (Trez and iAM). There will be controversy over who Trez ends up with.

JM will be inducted, but she didn’t say when. Another induction will happen “very soon”, but she wouldn’t say who would be inducted. (pretty sure will be Qhuinn once laws are changed)

Rhage & Mary’s novella is almost finished. She still needs to write Wrath & Beth’s novella. Believe she said they wouldn’t be published until after Qhuay’s book.

Will Saxton get his HEA (happily ever after)? She looked down and then said no comment for now.

Lassiter will get his own book. Not sure if it will be in the BDB series or the Fallen Angel series.

2^nd Insiders Guide will come out when enough new books have been out since the 1^st guide. She thinks it will be after another 3-4 books.

The Scribe Virgin (SV) is in her own kind of hell right now. WARDen trying to figure out what it will take to get her back down. Believes it will take Wrath being in peril to help her get her shit straight.

We will see Eddie from the Fallen Angel series again, but will take an extraordinary event. Ward loves Eddie and really was sad to see him die in Envy.

The next Fallen Angel book is called Rapture and will be published in hardback on September 25, 2012.

Releasing hardcover collector’s edition of Lover Eternal on November 6, 2012.

Wouldn’t answer if we would get another Fade ceremony. (Hello, someone else has to die for this to happen)

She wonders when de la Cruz will figure out the brothers, too. Kinda said it might happen in one of the Fallen Angel books. She would love to see him run into Butch again and not have his memory wiped.

Butch can still absorb the Lessers, but there are major consequences. Won’t endanger self or brothers to do this until the battle is more stable.

Where is Qhuinn’s brother? We will see him in Qhuay’s book. She isn't sure what Qhuinn's brother is now. The term Lesser has been tossed around in the past.

Wrath & Butch being cousins is something to do with the bloodlines. Butch part of original bloodline.

No meaningful blood relations between Wrath & Xcor.

Lots of sex in Qhuay’s book. May have sub-plot with Z in their book as well. (makes me very happy as I’ve missed Z over the last few books)

Coffins in the garage may be the original brothers from the old country.

Ahgony, Phury and Cormia’s son is born 5 years after Nalla, so we have to wait a while to meet him. WARDen said he is awesome.

She is dreading writing Blay and Qhuinn’s story due to overly high reader expectations. Beginning will have a tearjerker that will change world. Story will start soon after Lover Reborn ended. She would not tell us the name of Qhuay’s book.

Michael, from Story of Son – was asked if he or any of his children will show up in BDB world and she said she can’t answer.

Any new unmentioned characters coming up? In B.O.B. (Band of Bastards) era right now. Doesn’t want things to get too big and lose focus right now. Does see more new characters after this era.

Layla & Xcor  & Qhuinn dynamic will not work well. Layla is attracted to Xcor yet pregnant with Qhuinn’s baby. Qhuinn will be very protective of Layla. Situation will be world changing for all.

She also said Throe and Xcor will have some stuff to deal with since they both have a bond with Layla now. Another crappy dynamic to deal with.

Has many favorite scenes in LR – Lassiter behind the bar screaming orgasm, Autumn – field of snow/shadow. Many of the pants down moments.

Bawled her eyes out during book, especially at scene with Wellsie’s dress and the Fade ceremony.

Will Lash come back? Because he was stabbed instead of inhaled, yes he will return.

Vishous  being mad at Ward is because she lied about him in his book. She will not explain further and has been asked about it at almost every book signing.

Since Layla is pregnant, will we see other Chosen? There are still Chosen, and others will have to step up to feed since Layla can’t while pregnant.

Layla is still trying to learn who she is. There is a bit of “brain wash” to the Chosen, so she is just starting to explore who she can become.

Tohr and the Fade ceremony was required to help Wellsie and their son to go into the Fade. You don’t have to have an actual Fade ceremony for the person to go into the Fade. It was different with Wellsie and her son because Tohr was holding on to them and not allowing them to move on. Throe’s sister, who’s ashes Xcor had been keeping, could go into the Fade without the ceremony. The actual Fade ceremony is really for those left behind as a way to let go.

Will we see more of Marissa in the future? She will appear in Mary and Rhage’s novella. We all joked that Rhampage would be a great name for Mary & Rhage’s son, but she doesn’t know his name yet. (Wish I had remembered she told us they would have a daughter at an earlier signing)

Was asked if Payne could ever restore Wrath’s eyesight. Wrath will never get his eyesight back. In fact the first question he will have when his baby is born is about the eye color. Also, it takes a lot out of Payne to heal people, so she doesn’t do it all the time. Even when Wrath was seriously injured in Lover Reborn, Manny and Jane performed surgery on him rather than having Payne heal him. Also, WARDen glad Payne can keep George alive forever.

What is the name of Layla and Qhuinn’s baby? She doesn’t know the name yet.

Will Qhuinn have more visions? Yes

Do all the vamps get their mate’s name carved in their back? Yes, just not seen. She said there is so much going on it is hard to fit it all into the books. One of the reasons she is enjoying writing the novellas. She likes revisiting the couples. FYI to all V fans. He and Jane have had their bonding ceremony and he does have her name on his back.

Did Tohr and No’One (Autumn) love each other before Wellsie? He cared for her and if she hadn’t killed herself, they might have ended up together.

Will Brothers be on the boards in the future? It takes time away from books, so unless really big news, no.

Will Qhuinn and Blay have a mating ceremony where they carve each other’s names onto their backs? You have to wait for the book to find out. Didn’t want to give everything away.

Score is still 2 to 1 in the Fallen Angel series.

Saxton is in love with Blay, but he will have to write the laws that will allow Qhuinn and Blay to not only be together, but be inducted into the BDB.

To my understanding, Layla is the only female to be pregnant at the end of LR. Mary getting pregnant will require the help of Payne and I'm not sure how soon Beth will get pregnant.

She will have 2 local book signings for both Rapture and Qhuay’s books. They should be on back to back weekends with more information closer to release dates for each book. This was the first signing of hers I’d been to where she didn’t get to finish signing books for everyone who came to the signing. Also couldn’t leave any signed stock behind as every JR Ward book was sold out by the end of the signing.

This covers everything I had in my notes. I didn't go back and check my twitter feed to see if I had missed anything. However, I used the #BDBTohr tag on twitter during the signing. If you are on twitter, you can search by that tag to see any other information I might have left out.

BTW, I thought I was a pretty hardcore BDB fan. However, there was a pregnant lady sitting next to me who was in labor during the signing. Seriously, she wins the award for biggest BDB fan ever!!!

Envy Book Signing with JR Ward

Anyone who has stopped by my blog knows I love JR Ward’s books. I also really love going to see JR at her book signings. Haven’t missed but 1 (Covet) in the last 3-4 years. I went to the book signing with one person who had never read Ward and one person who is pretty new to Ward. This book signing took place in Cincinnati, Ohio at one of the B&N stores, and I wondered if Ward would censor herself any. That question was answered when she dropped the F-bomb within about 2 minutes of talking to the crowd…LOL. Now usually I go to the book signings with my cousins and one takes notes while I record the chat (audio only), but I was on my own with the note taking this time, but know I didn’t miss anything major. FYI, this post is full of spoilers about the Fallen Angel series. In fact, this was the first time I was at a Ward book signing without finishing the book and the first question is a spoiler. Read only if you don’t mind spoilers.

Did Devina cheat with Eddie? She did not cheat this time.

Is there a return of Eddie? Hope yes.

Do you have authors or other inspiration for writing? Wrath was the first word out of her mouth. Then said no other authors inspire her. She is a writer and must write each and every day.

What will Mary & Rhage’s child be? A girl. Can’t you just see when she starts dating and Daddy’s dragon tries to eat her dates.

How many BDB books will you write? Will write as many books as her readers will continue to buy.

There will be an awesome new male introduced in Lover Reborn named “Asail” (not sure of spelling, but probably needs an “h” put in it somewhere).

Muhrder will get his own book (she has said this before at other book signings)

She has written Mary & Rhage’s novella, but still needs to write Beth & Wrath’s. Can’t finish until she finishes Tohr’s book. No date yet for the novellas to be published.

Is Wrath white or African American? 1^st he isn’t a human, nor is he or any of the brothers pasty-ass white boys. They are tanned skinned, so not white or black (I picture Latin-American coloring based on her statement).

Will Butch & V ever be together? Who says they haven’t already been together and we don’t know about it (she even laughed and said this will show up on the internet).

TEAM QHUAY!!!

She said it needs to be next after Tohr’s book. 2 things have to happen in Tohr’s book to set it up – Team Qhuay won’t be happy with one of the things that happens. Both must happen for their book to be ready. FYI, this is the first time she called it a book rather than a novella. Not sure if that means we get an actual book, but kind of makes me wonder…

Will we see more cross-over between BDB/Angel series? They will be in Caldwell from now on, so very possible to see cameos from each series.

What is dog? Answer to dog is in dog.

Zsadist is her favorite character.

Will Jim get a happy ending? Yes he will.

Score is tied 1-1 after Crave. How did Jim lose? He tried to help the wrong guy.

When will Nalla find out about Zsadist’s history and what will be her reaction? She will read about it. This will throw Z back into the world of the Mistress again. Will always worry about how Nalla sees him now. Also how any male she would mate with would see him. Never gave a total answer about Nalla’s reaction, but seemed like it wouldn’t be good.

Will Trez & iAm get their own books? Also asked about future threesomes. Yes they will get books. We have not met iAm’s mate yet. Would not comment on future threesomes. We will see more of Trez & iAm in future books.

Tohr’s new mate is No’ One. Very long book and will be broken up into 4 sections – Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. Tohr is not ready for a new mate yet, so takes some time for him to be ready for a new mate. ***Will need lots of Kleenex for this book***

Lassiter will be seen a lot in Tohr’s book.

Payne & Manny’s book and Tohr’s book were happening at the same time. There was much overlapping in action that occurred, so Payne & Manny’s book focused mostly on them. Tohr’s book will have more focus on the brothers. Will see more of the brothers together in Tohr’s book. Tohr is the last original brother.

How did you pick a dragon for Rhage? When she first saw Rhage he took off his shirt & she saw the dragon tattoo moving on his back.

Devina & Adrian thing – She is a parasite and she is in Adrian. Must keep reading to find out if she get Adrian.

Will Layla ever have sex? (she actually dropped the microphone with this question) Yes and you won’t like who it is with (my guess is Qhuinn).

Who is next for Fallen Angel series? You will know at the end of Envy.

Will we see more of Scribe Virgin? Lash? We will see more of the Scribe Virgin. She hates Lash with a passion and he is such a shit. Answer to Lash was at the end of Lover Mine.

What would it take to have the BDB to move to movie/mini-series (HBO)? Has to be the right situation.  Her concern and focus will always be the books.

What will happen with Sissy? Jim will save her.

Brothers will start training again. Must have families return to Caldwell first.

Will we see more of the Sympaths in the future? Most likely will help with battle between Wrath & Xcore & his band of bastards.

Wrath will never get his eyesight back. (she has said this at many book signings)

Lassiter & the Brothers hate each other. Lassiter is a dick. However, we will see another side of Lassiter in Tohr’s book.

How did she pick Brother’s music? JR listens to rap & hip/hop.

Was questioned about Jane forgiving V so quickly in Lover Unleashed. Jane knew who/what V was when she decided to be with him. In fact, she was pretty defensive of Jane’s choice. Jane knew V was a Dom and had to accept him for who he is from the very beginning.

What is her favorite book? One she is currently writing.

Will we see Qhuinn’s brother again? Yes and she said the line “might be a Lessor” a couple of times.

No’One’s name will be revealed in Tohr’s book.

Asked if No’One is Throe’s sister? No answer given, but seemed like a yes based on body language.

What about the Omega? He has been very quiet in the books, but not quiet for what is going on. I’m guessing we will see more of him in Tohr’s book.

Tohr’s book will be at least 700 pages. She is about half way through it now.

Question about Qhuinn’s piercings. He took them out while he is working to redefine himself. Some piercings have not been taken out. Others will return once he leaves his unhappy place

Would we ever get a prequel for Darius? Most likely no since there is no happy ending.

Does Layla losing her virginity have anything to do with Qhuinn’s vision? Big no answer, but again I will guess yes based on body language.

I did my best to get all the major questions put out there for everyone. If anyone has any other questions, post in the comments and I'll see if I have any other notes. I was told by one of her entourage that they would be back in Radcliff for a book signing in the future. Loved going to B&N with friends, but missed seeing all my Radcliff friends at the signing.

Lover Unleashed Book Signing

Last night my cousins and I spent several hours with lots and lots of BDB fans. We all arrived at least 2 hours before the WARDen was scheduled to appear and had the best time talking about the brothers and what we all thought would happen next. She signed over 1,300 books for the virtual signing. She signed over 600 books at the book signing last night. My cousin Gina took lots of notes at the signing last night and I typed up everything.

The next BDB book will be Tohrment’s book. She is worried about messing it up, but feels it’s time.

We will get Qhuay’s book!!!! It will be a novella, but she didn’t tell us when it will be released. Still needs to write novellas for Rhage & Mary/Wrath & Beth and Tohr’s book. Qhuay’s book will be only about Qhuinn and Blaylock. No world building will happen in their book. Will be more about the romance like in early books. There will be lots of man loving going on and she will not hide anything behind closed doors. Putting in a novella so those who don’t want to read about man-love can opt out of the book without missing anything related to action in the series.

Does Lassiter get a book? Absolutely he gets a book. Not sure if it will be BDB or FA at this point.

Does Throe join the BDB? He’s a little busy right now working with Xcor in his “Band of Bastards”. Too much conflict (she really like Xcor).

Muhrder will be in books soon. Also, he and Xhex have more in common than Xhex knows.

Novellas for Rhage & Mary/Wrath & Beth – She has 40 pages to finish up Rhage & Mary and still needs to write Wrath & Beth’s story. Both novellas will be in one book.

Is Layla going to be with one of the brothers? “No comment” per her people.

Who does Tohr end up with? She wouldn’t answer, but from the last signing, everyone around me thought it is No’One.

Where does Lassiter come from? She is waiting about answering for now.

How easy was it to write V in Lover Unleashed? It was surprisingly easy to write him this time.

Is V going to talk to the Scribe Virgin about Payne? The WARDen was a bit curious about what would happen to the SV. She took a very “I don’t know” about where the SV was going.

When asked about Rhev & Symphaths, imagines Symphaths will become a threat again. Should see more of them in the future.

Butch & Manny’s father – she imagines it will be revealed eventually.

Is Qhuinn’s brother still alive? Yes, but not too happy or healthy.

Why don’t you and V get along? Once again said she should never have revealed about not getting along. Will never tell full story.

Do JM and Mary still have a close relationship? Yes. There are just so many people in the world now, there is no way to show every interaction.

Asked about Qhuinn’s vision and would not tell anything because it would give everything away.

Does Manny “transition”? Told to keep reading

Any new young? The novellas about Rhage & Mary/Wrath & Beth will show more young.

Will there be more interviews? She wants to get a few book books written before doing another Insider’s Guide.

Will the early BDB books be released in hardback? Dark Lover is set to release in hardback and others will release in hardback if Dark Lover sells well. She also believes the covers will stay the same, but wasn’t absolutely sure.

Can Payne regenerate Wrath’s eyes? Unknown if she can or not. Depends on how his eyes were lost. If they were lost due to a degenerative eye disease, it’s possible. Cannot re-grow limbs or eyes.

Is the Old Language based on anything? Not really. She had a tattoo artist come up with the symbols for the language.

Once again asked about coffins and told us she knows why they are there and told us to keep reading. Her assistant would not let her tell us anything.

Are the characters based on anyone in real life? No! Just images that appear in her head and they are never quiet.

Does JM ever discover he is Darius? No, part of the deal with the SV was to not remember that part of his life. Xhex has her suspicions. There will be a lot of JM in Tohr’s book. J

Will there ever be a novella about Butch and V? No. Be happy with the book for Qhuay!

Will there be a Blay/Qhuinn/Layla thing? Keep reading!!!

How do unmated males and females feed? There tends to be non-sexual relationships. Always with witnesses.

How does V maintain the mist around the compound when he leaves? Much like a spell

Asked who she hears in her head when Z sings and she said he sounds like The Three Tenors’ Pavarotti, just a little less warbling.

Who is the leader of the Glymera? We will see in the next book. Things are very different right now.

Will Payne and Manny have a child? Yeah, probably.

Will Phury do his job? No, he is very happy with Cormia. (one word: Trez)

Will the Training Center reopen? Need to be more vamps in Caldwell, but females may be in BDB, Xcor’s group is very effective, so things may seriously change – whole basis of the war will change.

Will the SV face consequences for birthing twins? Keep reading

Is Veck a potential brother? No, he is the hero of Envy, the next Fallen Angel book.

Signing farther South than Ky? Doesn’t travel much because of writing and she is a horrible traveler(her mother and publisher totally agreed she is a horrible traveler). Not anytime soon. Is signing in August in NY and will be at RT2012 in Chicago.

Is Throe related to Rhage? She started plugging her ears as soon as she was asked who Throe was related to and wouldn’t answer.

Does she have any ink? “I’m really not cool enough to write these books.” Not really.

Will more vamps show up from other places? Keep reading

Who is the next shellan to go into her “needing”? She was not allowed to answer.

Who is Xcor’s father? We will learn more later. He has an amazing back story.

Will Michael(from Story of Son) show up? Unknown if they will cross

Will Wellsie ever come back? No. Wellsie is in the fade with their son and she won’t leave him, even for Tohr.

Who feeds Payne? Payne kinda self-sustains both herself and Manny.

Is the Band of Bastards The Bloodletter’s way to tell the BDB a big FU? Not really. Xcor was really the leader of the group, even when The Bloodletter was still alive. Bloodletter was very bitter about being kicked out of the BDB.

V & Payne each have a glow much like a yin-yang. V destroys and Payne heals.

Will Trez and iAm have books? Absolutely, but unsure when they will happen or how they fit in the series yet.

Will Throe’s history play into books? Probably, but unknown when.

How many more books will be in the series? Pretty much open ended depending on the readers, inspiration, and her health.

Qhuinn is trying to re-invent himself right now. Asked if he will ever put his hardware back in and the WARDen said the holes are still there. Everything is still below the equator, which is funny since he is now celibate.

Asked the name of the 3 cousins and she wouldn’t give their names. However, she does love Zypher.

Crave Booksigning – October 9, 2010

I went to the JR Ward book signing for Crave on Saturday with my cousins, who are huge fans of the WARDen just like me. Thanks to my cousin Gina, I have lots of notes from the book signing Q&A period. The WARDen was a beautiful as ever and so much fun to be around as she answered questions for over an hour (using very colorful language and visuals). I need to make sure I bring a video camera and a digital recorder for the next book signing, which she said would be when Lover Unleashed is released in April. I can't promise there are no spoilers in this post, but I do promise no information about the end of Crave is in this post. Also need to post a reminder that none of this information can be posted on her boards or the Yahoo group, but we weren't told we couldn't post on our personal blogs.

Will there be a book for Tohrment? Yes, but not any time soon.

Will the Scribe Virgin get a book? She's not a big fan of her, so that's unknown.

Also asked about the SV's father and was told much like Boo and the coffins, it would be explained eventually.

Will there be more brothers? Yes, there will be at least 6 new brothers. We weren't given details as to when we would meet them or who they are.

What about Qhuinn & Blay? There will be Qhuinn & Blay stuff in Lover Unleashed. Also re-confirmed we will get their story in a "novella" sometime after Wrath & Rhage's are published. Promised to do it right and it would focus on them. Most likely will be named Qhuinn & Blay so people know what they are getting. (her novellas will be longer than the average novella)

Is Lassiter the missing angel in Covet? She wasn't exactly sure how the two series crossed, just that the 3rd book (Envy)'s hero is mentioned in LU and the Angels end up back in Caldwell. Jim will be looking for Sissy's body.

Lassiter will get his own book, in the BDB series sometime after Tohr.

Will No' one(Xhex's mom) and Tohr get together? JR put her hands together in the shape of a heart.

Does Layla get her own story? We were told to "keep reading". Sounds like a yes to me. :)

Muhrder will not be in LU.

Who's her favorite female character? Beth or Xhex, although she really didn't like Xhex when she first showed up.

How are Manny & Butch related? She said to "keep reading". However, a few minutes later was asked if Butch and Manny's father would be revealed and she said yes. (didn't find it surprising as I thought Butch and Manny were brothers from the first time we met Manny).

Yes, the promise the Scribe Virgin demanded from Wrath will come to light, just not sure when.

Re-confirmed that JM and the brothers will never know he is Darius reincarnated.

Will Jim, Adrian or Eddie be one of the souls saved in the Fallen Angel series? Yes, but wouldn't tell us who.

V & Jane will have big trouble in LU. V is going to lose it big time over his mommy issues, with how she has treated both him and Payne. Very colorful descriptions and language at this point. Must bring digital recorder next time so I can get it all. Something big will happen with Doc Jane too and then something really BIG will happen. She almost left it out, but the story wouldn't finish without it. Makes publisher very nervous and JR very nervous. Asked if it has anything to do with BDSM and was told "What the f*** do you think it is going to be? Not like V has a fashion sense issue." The WARDen played dumb when asked if Butch would be involved...guessing and hoping he is involved. :)

Z is her favorite hero, but she has never read his story again because it is too upsetting.

Her Slice of Life novellas will be available in both print and ebook.

Will JM join the brotherhood? Yes, soon, along with Xhex and Payne.

iAm and Trez will have their own books focused on their completely different culture.

Rehv is still around, just busy as the king of the freaks. He was there when Xhex and JM were mated.

Does Devina get power from her souls? No, she's just a hoarder. Her power is independent of the repercussions from that power. She will also continue seeing her therapist. (Can't wait to see what real world issues she assigns to things in the future)

Will Lash come back? He went back to the Omega, who's not in a hurry to bring him back.

She agreed they really need to get going on the merchandise. Way past time to work on it.

She was asked if we would ever see Nalla's change? Conceivably in the next 25 years or so. She wondered which male would be brave enough to walk in that house for Nalla.

My cousin took really great notes, but I'm sure I still left something out. She talked and answered questions for a little over an hour and was so awesome. So worth any amount of travel to go to one of her book signings.

JR Ward Book Signing at The Bookstore

So my cousin Gina and I went to the JR Ward book signing in Radcliff, KY tonight at The Bookstore. I love going to The Bookstore(always find at least one or two new books to buy) and they really know how to host a book signing. We had the best time and even managed to get our picture taken with the WARDen, as well as having a picture signed for my cousin Beverly who missed out on the signing for her prom(JR was so super sweet). Thanks to my cousin Gina, I have lots of notes from the signing. In fact, she emailed me all the notes she took and I've posted all question and answers below.

Notes from the Lover Mine book-signing:

Was Rehvenge at the wedding? Yes

Do the brothers find out about Darius? No, it would upset all of the relationships.

Rhage and Mary and a child, Wrath and Beth and the birth of the King – Slices of Life purchased by her publisher for a paperback publication (not going to be available for at least 18 months, not even written yet).

Qhuay book? Lots of thoughts on that, but really seems like it would be best written into a (BIG!) novella. She wants to do it right for the story but doesn't want to offend any readers. Most likely name will be Blay & Qhuinn, so readers will know exactly what they will be getting.

Will the training center be reopened? Yes, definitely (“They need that now.”)

Will the previous books be reprinted in hardback? Maybe, really an unknown

What about the coffins? Can’t tell, really don’t know yet. Theory: coffins are in Caldwell and the Tomb is in Caldwell coffins = remains of the original brothers

Will John be joining the brotherhood? Yes, and maybe even Xhex (openings for Slices of Life)

You mentioned a werewolf on the boards or someplace. Will there be a werewolf in the series? “I can’t say a word about werewolf. And no Alpo jokes!”

Speaking of the coffins, Wellsie’s in the tomb, right? No, Vishous has her remains until Tohr can deal. (The Scribe Virgin needs to get her act together.)

Are you going to fix Jane? Nothing wrong with her, nothing to fix, but there will be lots of V and Jane in Payne and Manny’s book.

What about Darius coming back to take care of Beth? He still does, just as John Matthew, seizures and everything. “Besides, Wrath’s doing a pretty good job, if you ask me.”

Was Tohr a pretrans in the flashbacks in Lover Mine? Not a pretrans, just newly transitioned.

What does Saxton look like? “Remember, in the Great Gatsby, with Robert Redford? Like that. Well-kept, elegant, lovely, not a pansy.”

You mentioned 3 European dudes? When will they appear? Unknown, though they’re there, somewhere along the line, and will join the Brotherhood stories eventually (possible Slices of Life).

Was Tohr mated when he and Darius rescued No’One? No, engaged/betrothed but not mated and haven’t even met yet (Tohr’s mother set their relationship up...she let it slip later in the Q&A).

Is losing Payne the Scribe Virgin’s wake-up call? Something in Payne’s book will kick her into gear.

Will Muhrder come back for Xhex? Can’t say yet (face all O.o) Muhrder does get his own book, though.

Was Xhex definitely not pregnant by Lash? Yes, yes, yes!

Will Claire and Michael show up in the Brotherhood world? Really didn’t know.

Will Brotherhood show up in the Fallen Angel books again? Yes, in the 3^rd book. Crave is set in Boston, but the 3^rd book will be back in Caldwell.

Payne and Manny’s book will be out in April.

Where did the Brotherhood come from? They exist in her head, like a movie that can be rewound and fast-forwarded. Not based on anyone and not influenced by anyone. Also, when we’re reading the newest book, she’s already 2 to 3 books ahead of us (she’s very nervous about public reaction to something in Payne and Manny’s book.).

How far do you outline? As it comes time to write, only when it’s time to “pull the trigger.”

Layla: much love for Layla. She has a theory about Layla that she wouldn’t share, despite much dithering and pleading with her mods/publicists.

Did No’One have another name before having Xhex? Yes, but it’s going to be revealed as part of her story.

Qhuinn’s brother’s frozen? “Well, he’s not moving a lot...”

Did Symphaths just happen to evolve from vampires or were they a mistake? “Law of unintended consequences” and mutations and inbreeding and a bad branch of vampires

Have you considered taking the Brothers from books to movies? LOVES the idea of casting call. “Yeah, your resume is great and your repertoire is awesome. Now, drop your pants.” (big uproar in the Bookstore) But she’d have to give up intellectual property rights and there would be some loss of control and she’d need tons of leverage to keep the stories untainted and the characters protected (cited JK Rowling as a great example of book-to-movie management) “Tom Cruise cannot be Wrath; Tom Cruise can’t even be Fritz!!” Lots of uproar and excitement. Did reveal that she’s been approached about making movies.

At the end of Lover Avenged, Wrath installs Rehv as the king/leader of the symphaths, with the idea that he’ll manage the colony. How is he at the mansion? Lives at the mansion with Ehlena. “Wrath isn’t a retard.” Wrath is using him to try to make alliances with the colony and family is very important to him (Bella and his niece are both at the mansion) and, anyway, he’s not going to try to mess with the self-involved aspect of symphaths too much.

How can Xhex go out into the sun? In the same way that Beth can go out in to the sun and Rehv can’t and Butch can’t dematerialize. It’s all a part of their biology and how half-breeds have different characteristics of each part.

Why does Payne know V and V not know Payne? Because Payne’s been with the Chosen and she’s had access to the seeing bowls and she knew that the Scribe Virgin sent V to live with the Bloodletter (that’s why she killed him).

Is Payne the lie that makes V upset at the WARDen? The lie isn’t Payne and there are still issues between the two.

Will there be more of Nahlla? Yeah, possibly even a Slice of Life eventually detailing her story.

Will Saxton have a book? “You do not want me to answer that.” “Awwwwwww...”

Will there be another compendium for the Slices of Life? Anthology type thing, printed in paperback.

Where is Boo? Just kinda around. BTW, Boo and George get along great (“because Boo is smarter than George. I’m a dog person, I’m not a cat person. And, I think Boo’s more than he appears to be.”).

Since Phury isn’t ‘servicing’ the Chosen, will there be another Primale? Can’t answer that. A lot of unknowns because the Chosen keep going back and forth to our world.

Why is V mad? V just honestly doesn’t care (and there’s a lot of him in the next book, she’s not looking forward to it).

In the interview, he gives her a dagger. Is that an attempt to make amends? Left unanswered in favor of the previous question. Then the book-signing commenced.

We were told we couldn't post anything on the yahoo boards or the BDB boards, but not told anything about our personal blogs, so I had to share with everyone. Thanks to Jerry and The Bookstore for hosting the event and the WARDen for being so super cool and nice. When we left it was an hour and a half in to what was supposed to be a two hour signing and at least another 100-150 people were still waiting to have books signed. The WARDen had promised to stay and sign every book when she started the Q&A portion of the night and as wonderful as she was to us, I know she stayed way past the original two hours.

Gena Showalter Book Signing

Gena Showalter had a book signing today at Sherlock Books in Lebanon, TN. Since it was only about a 30 minute drive, I had made plans to go as soon as I saw the schedule. The fact that there is so much rain falling from the sky Noah should be here building an ark didn't stop me . I got there early so I could buy Gena's new book for my oldest niece, Amanda, and my friend Paula, as I had bought my copy earlier in the week. I also had all my Lords of the Underworld books with me to be signed, as well as Gena's YA book Intertwined. Gena is so nice and I just can't say how much I appreciated her taking the time to sign all of my books. I really tried not to go too fan-girl, but not sure I pulled it off. If you ever get the chance to meet Gena, it is so worth the trip. BTW Paula, she totally remembered you when I told her you said hi.
