Connor Prescott doesn't do one
night stands (yes, ladies, he's an anomaly) so when he meets a beautiful woman
during a snowed in night at the airport who wants to forget her heartache, he
makes an exception. Their night together is incendiary, and by morning Connor
wants more . . . except his sexy stranger is gone. He's pretty sure he'll never
see her again, until three and a half years later she finds him, and changes
his entire world with three little words . . . You're a daddy.

Liza's review:
I've really loved each of the books in the Book Boyfriend series
from Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. I'll admit Connor had intrigued me since
the very first book, so I was glad we were finally getting his story.
I have to say up front, I don't usually love the one-night stand
story if I can't see where it could lead. However, since both Connor and Katie
were heading to Chicago from Denver, I felt like they could reconnect at some
point...though I didn't expect it to take over 3 year. Since Katie and
Connor never shared last names or contact information, I loved that as soon as
she realized his name and how to reach him, she met up immediately to tell him
about their daughter, Valentine.
I loved that Connor and Katie's chemistry was pretty evident
from the moment they saw each other again, and their attraction to one another
was even stronger. Seriously I loved these two characters together and the fact
that neither one had forgotten the other. While they had many smoking hot love
scenes, I love they both wanted to make sure Val was always protected in case
they didn't work out as a couple.
I worried about Connor's reaction to discovering he was a
father, and have to say I think I fell in love with him a bit more for not only
being completely understanding about Katie not being able to tell him at first,
but slowly working his way into his daughter's life. Too many times I've read
books where they just tell the child this is your daddy with no time spent
together first. I liked that Connor and Katie established him into Val's life
before telling her he was her daddy. I loved watching Connor fall in love with
his daughter right along with her mother. There is just something about a big,
strong, sexy man and a toddler that makes me swoon a little bit.
Rock Solid was a wonderful addition to the Book Boyfriend series
from Ms. Phillips and Ms. Wilde. I once again was completely drawn into the
story and pretty much read it in one sitting. I highly recommend Rock Solid to
anyone who enjoys contemporary romances.

Nikki’s Review:
I'm not going to beat around the bush here, I
freaking loved this book! The whole series has been great, but Connor stole my
heart from the get go.
Connor and Katie have a ridiculously hot one
night stand. Connor wanted so much more, but Katie is trigger shy and runs out
on him. But she took a piece of Connor with her.
Fast forward nine months, and hello baby
Valentine! I appreciated that this wasn't a typical "secret baby"
trope. When the heroine purposely keeps the baby from the hero it makes me
stabby. But this wasn't that at all. Katie had no idea how to find Connor. They
didn't exchange last names or contact info. When they do finally see each other
again it was magical. The chemistry is as strong as ever, but Katie is still
scared of relationships.
I adore how Connor immediately took to his
daughter. There wasn't any animosity between Katie and Connor. There was some
sadness that he'd missed the first three years of Valentine's life, but he
pushed through that to embrace his new role in both his child's and Katie's
life.
While this story is true to Erika and Carly's
style with the smokin' hot sexy times, it was also incredibly sweet and
touching. I enjoyed watching the hero and heroine find their footing as
co-parents. It wasn't all neat and tidy, it was real. There were temper
tantrums, bath time, cranky bed times, and "mom style pj's". It quite
simply, felt relatable. Some of my favourite parts of this story happened after
the preschooler went to bed! Jesus, the bumping and grinding was intense and
sinful...my cup of tea, for sure!
This entire series has been so much fun. I'm
pretty sure that Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips could right an instruction
manual and they could make it interesting and sexy! Seriously, this writing duo
is insanely talented and constantly pull me in and make me love their
characters. This book may just be my favourite so far. But haven't I said that
before? Each book just gets better and better!
