All former
Navy SEAL Mason Lawson craves is solitude. Unfortunately, his new neighbor
won’t allow him the peace he so desperately needs. Between the traffic and the
music, Mason is constantly on edge—not exactly what the doctor ordered for
someone recovering from a bullet to the leg. However, when he finally has
enough and confronts his neighbor, nothing can prepare him for how hot he’d get
for the teacher next door.
Piano
teacher, Skylar Jernigan, loves everything about the town of Jessamine—from the
quaint Main Street shops to the people who own them. Unfortunately, once she’s
chewed up and spit out by her sexy neighbor, Skylar begins to question her
decision to move to a new town. Until, that is, she learns he’s suffering from
a war wound and refuses to have anything to do with his family.
Now, Skylar
is determined to help Mason recover—mentally, physically and socially—until he
turns the tables and sets out to seduce Skylar right out of her meddling ways.
Only seduction turns into something more and soon, Mason can’t stop looking for
excuses to be with her. But when the Navy wants Mason to reenlist for a
dangerous mission, will Skylar be too irresistible for him to leave?

Liza’s Review:
Each time I read a book in the Lawson Brothers series I think,
surely it can't get better with the next book, and I'm happily wrong every
single time. Honestly, Mason is so not the easiest of the Lawson brothers to
love in the beginning, but I totally ended up falling for him.
I absolutely adored Skylar Jernigan from the moment we met her.
She is such a strong character and while her life hasn't been perfect, she is
working hard to live the life she want to live. I love that she not only stood
up to Mason when they first met, but continued to stand up for herself and her
choices. Skylar's talent and her sweet personality shines through at every turn
for me.
Mason really was a bit of a tool when he and Skylar first meet.
He is understandably in a bad way after suffering a career ending injury to his
leg. Added to his injury is the fact that he is suffering from PTSD and the
loud noise from next door doesn't help him at all. I loved that even though he
didn't really want his family or anyone else around him, Mason seemed to be
calm when Skylar was around. I also loved the more time they spent together,
the stronger their connection to one another and their attraction to one another
became. I seriously loved Mason and Skylar as a couple. She got
him in a way that even his own family really didn't and he was there to be her
family in a way she really had never had.
Love
So Irresistible was another winner in the Lawson Brothers series for
me. Marquita Valentine gives her readers the perfect combination of romance,
humor and emotion with every book. I highly recommend the Lawson Brothers
series to all romance readers.
