EYES OF THE TIGER RELEASE AND GIVEAWAY

Blurb:
Gems and jewelry speak to Gemma Hewitt, inspire her designs, and send her across the globe to seek out historic pieces. After her mother is brutally murdered, Gemma inherits her famed jeweled collar, which she hopes will lead her to her mother’s killer. Instead, she's thrown back to 1901 India where she sees a young woman about to be married with a pendant that matches the collar. When she's hired to find the entire bridal suite, she hopes she can use the jewels to save her family's fortune. Can she trust the handsome, enigmatic British reporter/photographer Raj Sinclair who promises to help her on her quest, or is he the one she should be running from?

Attracted to Gemma, Raj senses a connection with her as if he’s known her forever. When danger stalks her, he will do anything to protect her. The treasure hunt takes them to cities from the US to Britain to France, ending in India where the bridal suite is finally rejoined... and three souls reincarnated from the British Raj get another chance to make things right.

Celebrating My 100th Published Novel!

EYES OF THE TIGER as you read it now is not a story that came easily to me. I got the idea when I started watching Bollywood movies. The idea of karma and reincarnation generated ideas for a reincarnation romantic thriller. It took an incredible amount of research, multiple tries to get it right and an incredible developmental editor who helped me see at last what I needed to do to make it an unforgettable story. Throughout the process, the story obsessed me. I knew I couldn’t give up until I could share it with my readers.
I already had the idea and much of the research done when I traveled to India with another author and her husband in 2010. There I learned so much of what I couldn’t know from book/Internet research. I absorbed the sights and sounds and the people (who must be the most polite people in the world). We stayed in hotels that were once palaces, toured forts with incredible artwork especially in the separate quarters for women, and thrilled to a stay at a tiger preserve.
Over the next year, I began writing the story between contracts. And the following year I finished a proposal I sent to my agent — the first 85 pages and a 30 page synopsis. While editors loved the writing, they didn’t buy it. I had other contracted projects, but my story of a love that wouldn’t die refused to let me be. I finally hired my own developmental editor and spent an entire year writing the book while working on other projects.
I was thrilled that my obsession paid off when I went to contract with Tule Publishing Group.
Now it’s time to celebrate both seeing EYES OF THE TIGER in digital and print formats, but knowing this very special book to me is my 100thpublished novel. I’m still amazed at what it took to get here...

Eyes of the Tiger Excerpt:

Taking the copies from her bag, Gemma said, “At least we have a few places to begin our search.” According to rumor in the curator’s professional world, the missing pieces had appeared in various cities both here and abroad.
“Right. Chicago...London...Paris. Some of the most populated cities in the world.”
“Hopefully, the jewels I have now can draw us to the others.”
That seemed to give Raj pause. “You’re planning on taking them with you?” His words were clipped.
“I’m considering it, of course.” When he didn’t say anything, simply fixated her with a questioning frown, it made her stomach flutter. His care for her was apparent. “What is the point if we don’t have any way of narrowing the field?”
“Then you’d better hire a bodyguard.”
“Do I really need to hire one?” She drew closer to him, set on determining exactly why he’d gotten this two bedroom suite when she’d already reserved a room. “When I can have you?”
She noted the way his expression tightened further. The way his stare narrowed on her as if he was trying to read her true meaning. The thrill of a connection beyond words shot through her. He suddenly seemed as formidable as he had the night she’d met him. The night he’d saved her life. Her pulse sped up a bit as he moved within breathing distance.
“Is that a professional recommendation,” he asked, “or a personal one?”
His raspy tone added to something less palpable, something she couldn’t quite identify, made her gut clench. “Can’t it be both?”
Reaching out a hand and hooking it behind her neck, he ever so slowly pulled her breath-stealingly closer, while giving her the opportunity to flee if she so chose.
            She didn’t resist.
Then his mouth was claiming hers, his arms wrapping around her back. She slid her hands up over his shoulders to encase his neck. The kiss was deep and sweet and urgent and comforting, a little bit of everything. Magical. Sleeping desires stirred as her thoughts drifted into what-ifs. She’d been wanting this from the moment she’d met him. Harry was exactly the kind of man she would do anything to have. No, wait! Those had been Mayura’s thoughts in the first vision she’d had. Not Harry—Raj!
            What the hell?
The realization broke the connection, and she pulled back slightly, her eyes widening as she stared at Raj.
            He was breathing hard.
            They both were.
She couldn’t miss the hunger glinting in his eyes. Beautiful pale blue eyes. He blinked and suddenly his eyes were dark and mysterious and a little exotic just as they should be.
The bizarre imaginings rattled Gemma. Like her gazing into a mirror and seeing a reflection of Mayura after that first vision.
Raj was still holding her. “Something wrong?” His voice vibrated down to her toes.
Not about to ruin the moment, she said, “Nothing you can’t fix.”
His heated gaze stole her breath. Before she could regain it, he took her in his arms and literally danced her into his bedroom. Her surprise bubbled over into laughter. His lips covered hers for a moment as if he were absorbing her happiness. Her excitement. Then, freeing her, he removed his jacket and hung it from the corner of a chair.
He was mesmerizing her, gluing her to his every action as he slowly unbuttoned and removed his shirt. Each movement meant to entice. His lightly bronzed skin kissed with sweat made her heart thunder in her chest.
No doubt in her mind that she wanted him.
She removed the leather cinch from her waist and threw it on the table that held his attaché case and other things. He unzipped his trousers and let them drop to the floor.
They were doing this. Really doing this. She’d thought about it from the moment he’d volunteered to come to DC with her. Had longed for it when she’d learned about the suite.
She wasn’t someone who did do this—have sex without really knowing a man. So why him?
Because on some deep level, she did know him. Somehow. Instinct. She couldn’t explain it, but she’d felt this gut-deep, unspoken, all-consuming notion that she’d known Raj forever, practically since they’d met.
Which had only been two days ago.
It was Mayura’s and Harry’s story, she told herself. The romance of it had taken her over, had opened up something inside her, made her more vulnerable. Emotional. Wanting...
            That had to be it.
