Black Knight is the 4th in Black’s Bandits series from Lynn Raye Harris. Jared “Knight” Fraser is on his way to a little R&R when he finds Liberty “Libby” King outside his remote cabin injured with no memory of how she got there or even her name…thankfully she is wearing a necklace with Libby on it. When men with hunting dogs show up, Jared knows he has to help Libby figure out her past and keep her safe along the way.

I really enjoyed Jared’s and Libby’s story. I love a good amnesia story, and Libby’s was so well written. I loved she would remember new information about her past in her dreams at night. I really enjoyed Jared and Libby getting to know each other. I loved they had a pretty instant connection, and some smoking hot chemistry. Seriously Jared and Libby were such an amazing couple. I loved he supported Libby and had her back once her memory returned. I also loved every moment with Ian Black and the other members of the Black’s Bandits. 

Lynn Raye Harris kept readers on the edge of their seats with the suspense and action, and the romance between Jared and Libby was absolutely perfect. I’ve fallen more in love with the Black’s Bandits with each new book, and absolutely can’t wait to finally get Ian Black’s book! Fans of romantic suspense will absolutely love Black Knight and be chomping at the bit for more book in this series.

As Dak sauntered through, big and cocky, it was like watching the viral video of fainting goats. First all the women sat up straight, tits out, eyelashes fluttering madly, then as soon as he passed them, they collapsed back, drained and dreamy.
Even though I knew for a fact that he’d had sex with at least two of the women at headquarters, he never spoke to anyone in particular.
Except me.
In the cruelest of all damn ironies, he spoke to me on a regular basis.
Wearing track pants that did nothing to hide a huge cock moving freely beneath the cotton, Dak came toward me. And yes, even as a virgin, I had enough experience with penises in general to know that his was nothing short of impressive. He had on a team logo sweatshirt, which also didn’t disguise his broad shoulders and ripped arms. Taking a bullet or a knife, I can do.

But soothing a terrified, sobbing, otherwise competent woman is not something I’ve often—ever—accomplished successfully, nor have I ever found myself in many situations in which it was necessary.

I stroke her back, and gradually, they both cry themselves out.

Which is good, because seeing a chink in Peach’s armor is bloody terrifying.

“Papaya,” she says, her voice thick and wobbly, “you’re on kitchen duty for the next four weeks.”

“What?”

“And if you get fired by the chef, you’ll be on maid duty. And if you get fired by the maids, you’ll be shoveling shit in the stables. And you don’t get to see Fred until your chores are done.”

I suck in a surprised breath.

Papaya gasps. “You can’t do that.”

“And if you don’t show up for kitchen duty, you won’t be going to Joey’s wedding next weekend.” She swipes at her eyes, which silences any objections I might have to keeping track of Papaya whilst Peach is away for a week. “You scared the ever-loving patootles out of me. Just when I think Breezie Bennett has given me my favorite book, she releases a new book and it instantly becomes my new favorite Breezie Bennett book! I didn't think I could love a Vice brother more than Noah, but Jayson Vice is my new favorite Vice brother for sure! I knew it would take a special woman to make Jayson Vice give up his playboy ways, and Haley Ambrose absolutely perfect from the moment they met. First of all, neither really believed in the magic of love and even were willing to bet on the fact that neither would fall in love by the end of their temporary relationship.

I have to say for all his cockiness, Jayson Vice turned out to really be a total marshmallow in my eyes. He might be a killer businessman, but once he and Haley started spending time together, his attitude seemed to change fast. Not that he still didn't have a cocky attitude, but there was another layer underneath that made me fall for him. Haley had the same cockiness when it came to her believe that she could make any man fall in love with the right plan. Haley was so by-the-book/spreadsheet when we first met her. I loved how both Jayson and Haley seemed to grow and become the better version of themselves the more time they were together. Their smoking hot chemistry was there from the moment they met at the bar, and OMG it only got hotter from there!!! All I can say is I'll never look at a casino the same way.

Breezie Bennett continues to write sexy, funny, and super emotional stories that draw me in from page one each and every time. I'd love to say I can savor her books and take days to read them, but never on my first read. I need to experience her stories as soon as they hit my kindle and I find myself falling in love with her characters over and over again. I highly recommend her books to lovers of contemporary romances!

Simply Scandalous is another winner from Carly Phillips. Logan Montgomery and Catherine Luck were brought up in two very different worlds. Logan comes from a very affluent family, while Catherine's family struggled to make ends meet every single month. Yet Logan's grandmother Emma is absolutely convinced they are perfect for one another and has a plan to make it happen.

I had mad love for this story...so much that I literally read it in one sitting. I love how Logan knows how he wants to live his life and makes no bones about it to his father the judge, even while the judge ignores pretty much everything he says. Catherine is such a smart, sexy, and feisty woman. She is hard working and not afraid to go after what she wants in life. Logan and Catherine together gave me all the happy feels and their chemistry was off the charts hot. I had mad love for their story!

While I loved Logan and Catherine so much as individuals and as a couple, I have to say Logan's grandmother Emma might just be my favorite character in the book. She had me laughing out loud at her antics and I could absolutely feel how much she loved her grandchildren and had their best interest at heart. 

Simply Scandalous is a fast-paced story that pulled me in from the very first page. It was filled with love, laughter, and even a few tears, and was a fabulous story from start to finish. I highly recommend this story to fans of contemporary romances.

It burned. Everywhere and nowhere. Slices in my skin that made it feel as if hot lava had been poured into my flesh. I couldn’t count them, had lost track after the tenth. I tried to move, to somehow escape. Only my fingers twitched. 

Sounds. Voices. Hovering above me. They were everywhere and yet nowhere. Pinpricks of light, like glimmering stars on the darkest night. 

“Miss? Can you hear me?”

I managed a low moan. I only wanted the pain to stop. The agony tearing through my body. I craved a blanket of nothingness. An endless sea where I would cease to exist altogether. 

“I’m an EMT. You’re safe. We’ve got you.”

“Hurts.” It was the only message I cared about getting across. This woman might have the power to lessen the burn. 

A hand slipped into mine, blood sliding down my arm to bind us together, the liquid already growing tacky with the passage of time. 

“I know. Just hold on.”

I didn’t want to hold on. I wanted to float away to a world where none of this was real. Where pain didn’t exist—only light and peace and relief.

I absolutely adored Simply Sinful, the first book in the Simply series. This book is one of the Carly Classics and it totally stands the test of time.

I loved both Kane and Kayla from page one! I had mad love for both of these characters. I loved that Kayla was genius level smart and happened to have a body most men would lose their ability to think when they saw her...and Kane is really no different when he first sees her. I kinda love the hard-nosed cop totally couldn't stay in his undercover character he was so attracted to Kayla. While I did wish Kane was forthcoming with his real reason for being there after he decided Kayla was innocent, I got as a cop he had to follow procedure.

I loved this super-fast paced romance. The chemistry between Kane and Kayla had me completely falling for them as a couple, even when he messed up big time. I also really enjoyed the bit of mystery to the story, and especially how Kayla was instrumental in figuring everything out. I love a smart heroine and Carly Phillips does an amazing job writing intelligent women who are also sexy and able to take care of themselves.

Simply Sinful was a wonderful story. It pulled me in from page 1 and I didn't want to put it down. I highly recommend this Carly Classic to romance fans who love an emotion filled story.

All Consuming is the 3rd book in the Brotherhood by Fire series from Jaci Burton. I've wanted Kal's book from the very beginning and it was totally worth the wait. I'm a big fan of the second chance romance, and adored Hannah and Kal's story.

I've loved Kal since we met him in the first book. He is a bit different from his brothers, and something about him just grabbed me from the beginning. He is a charmer for sure, and I have to say I loved he found his way back to his high school sweetheart Hannah. Extra bonus for me was they reconnected at their high school reunion. It gave me all the happy feels.

Hannah is pretty hesitant to start up a relationship so soon after her divorce, yet can't seem to stay away from Kal. I loved Hannah's son Oliver so much. Kids in romances can sometimes be tricky, but I loved that Kal included Oliver in their relationship from the very beginning. I really loved Kal and Hannah had such amazing chemistry even after being apart for so many years. I totally fell in love with not only the couple, but the family they became.

I like some of the technical fire information Jaci Burton weaves into each of the stories. Kal is on a different path from his dad and brothers, and I really enjoyed learning about another aspect of firefighting. 

I liked each of the Donavan brothers, but still say Kal is my favorite. I enjoyed this trilogy, and would love to revisit these characters in the future.

Ignite on Contact is the 2nd book in the Brotherhood by Fire series from Jaci Burton. I have to say Rafe and Carmen gave me all the happy feels in this book. First of all, they started off as only friends, and I love me a good friends to lovers romance.

Rafe has always been a bit of a player, but he has also always been there to help out Carmen and her grandfather when needed, along with his brothers. Carmen has been all about work and caring for her grandfather since her divorce, and she is not looking for any new relationship, especially with a former player.

I loved the smoking hot chemistry between Rafe and Carmen, and it always felt like more than just chemistry to me, even when Carmen was fighting against her feelings for Rafe. I did like how strong Carmen was, yet hated there was extra drama that felt unnecessary at times. I really loved that Rafe loved Carmen enough to be there even when she pushed him away, and still listen to her feelings and give them validation. 

I will say the relationship between Rafe and his brothers is seriously part of the reason I love this book and the entire series of books so much. I love they made a family for themselves even before they were adopted by their parents. The strength of their connection and love gave me all the happy feels as I read this story.

Ignite on Contact was a great addition to this series, and I look forward to reading the next book and getting Kal's story. Those Donovan brothers are smoking hot and sexy firefighters, and I'm here for every moment of their stories.
