The Barefoot Billionaires

Meet the Barefoot Billionaires: One’s a gorgeous geek, one’s a lucky daredevil, and one’s a trying-to-reform bad boy...but all three are about to meet their match on the sun-drenched shores of Barefoot Bay. One book with three unforgettable love stories.

SECRETS ON THE SAND
Zeke Nicholas has turned his mathematical genius skills into a mountain of money. But Zeke sits on that mountain all alone, longing for the one thing money cannot buy: the true love of a lifelong partner. Enter Mandy Mitchell...the maid. Except to Zeke, Mandy is much more than that—she was once the object of his every teenage fantasy.

Zeke is no longer a geek -- he’s gorgeous. And Mandy doesn’t feel so magnificent since her marriage fell apart and left her up to her eyeballs in debt and despair. One look at Mandy, and Zeke turns his relentless ability to get what he wants into a full-on seduction. But can Mandy face down the secrets of her past to find a fairy-tale future with Zeke?

SEDUCTION ON THE SAND
Like everything in his life, becoming a billionaire was easy for Elliott Becker. He bought some land in Massachusetts and discovered he sat on two billion dollars worth of rare Goshen stone. Lucky, charming, and blessed with every gift from every god, Elliott expects his simple purchase of property in Barefoot Bay will go the way everything does for him in life...easy. Until he meets the woman who currently owns that land and suddenly everything is...hard.

Frankie Cardinale’s fondest memories took place on the tiny goat farm owned and run by her grandfather in the heart of Barefoot Bay. While she held her “Nonno” on his deathbed, she promised his land would never leave their family. Nothing -- not even a sexy, playful, intoxicating billionaire who always gets his way -- will convince her to break that promise. Because all the money in the world can’t buy Elliott what he really wants the most...Frankie’s love.

SCANDAL ON THE SAND
Nathaniel Ivory is known in the tabloids as “Naughty Nate,” and this son of a huge, wealthy family that’s often referred to as “American Royalty” has done everything he can to earn that nickname. Nate’s penchant for trouble has kept him from fully earning a respectable spot in the many family businesses. But Nate is determined to change all that -- all he has to do is avoid even a hint of scandal.

But then he meets Liza Lemanski, an irresistible, blue-eyed bundle of trouble who makes some claims about his past that rock him to the core. Can he give her what she wants to avoid another scandal...or is Liza the one woman who has what it takes to tame this sexy billionaire bad boy?

My thoughts on The Billionaires of Barefoot Bay:

Secrets on the Sand

I loved Zeke and Mandy's story so much! Since I was a bank geek in high school, I love reading stories where the geek from high school makes it big later. Since Secrets on the Sand is a novella length story, it moves very fast. There was great chemistry between Zeke and Mandy from the moment they saw each other again. I really felt like Mandy was a pretty strong character even before Zeke came back into her life, but she seemed to finally see herself as strong once he was in her life.

Seduction on the Sand

Frankie and Elliott's story was so fun. Seriously, any time you get a billionaire to help out on a goat farm and sleep in a barn, you have to have a fun story. I loved that Frankie didn't fall all over Elliott just because he was rich. She wanted to keep her Nonno (grandfather)'s farm and didn't really care how much money he was offering her for it. Not that Frankie wasn't just as attracted to Elliott as he was to her. The chemistry was amazing between them from the very beginning.

I really liked Elliott, even when I knew he was about to risk his future with Frankie. I love that Frankie had made at least one friend in the city offices and Liza was able to warn her of what was going on in advance. For some reason, I missed the clues as to how Frankie would be able to keep her land, but love how strong she was when push came to shove. While I was shaking my head as Elliott made his mistake, he really made a huge play to make things right. He won me over with how he showed his love to Frankie.

Scandal on the Sand

I loved both Nate and Liza so much in this book. Nate was trying to turn his life around and lose his “Naughty Nate” nickname. Of course this is right when he meets Liza. Liza is such a strong character. She has been helping her friend raise her son since he was born and has been his guardian for the last year.

I felt the connection between Nate and Liza from the moment they met, even as they argued about Dylan. I really loved that even thought they were so different, they worked perfectly as a couple for me. I also loved they both were super protective of Dylan. I loved watching them grow closer and start a real relationship the longer they spent time together. The chemistry got stronger and stronger between them as well.

Nate had already started turning his life around when this story started. I loved watching him grow even more as this story progressed. I’ve loved each of the Billionaires of Barefoot Bay stories so much. Just something about Nate and Liza’s story that made it my favorite of the 3.

Roxanne St. Claire Guest Post and Giveaway

I'm so excited to welcome Roxanne St. Claire to my blog today! I've been a fan for years and have already fallen in love with her Billionaires of Barefoot Bay with Zeke's book.

***Update Winner of the set of Barefoot Bay books is Silver James. Thanks for everyone who stopped by and visited my blog.***

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Roxanne St. Claire has been enchanting readers with stories set on an idyllic slice of paradise off the coast of Florida known as Barefoot Bay for two years. In the first Barefoot Bay series, four friends joined forces to build and run a homegrown resort and spa and, in the process, found life-long love.

Now it is time to get to know some of the special guests of Casa Blanca Resort & Spa, which is fast turning into a playground for the rich and an elite destination wedding site. In the brand new Billionaires of Barefoot Bay trilogy, meet a trio of sexy heroes and the most unlikely ladies who steal their hearts in three novella-length (appx. 150 pages) love stories.

In Secrets on the Sand, Zeke Nicholas has turned his mathematical genius skills into a mountain of money. But Zeke sits on that mountain all alone, longing for the one thing money cannot buy: a lifelong partner and true love. Zeke grew up near Barefoot Bay and is staying at the resort for a week while he’s in town for a family event. Enter Mandy Mitchell...the maid. Except, Mandy is much more than that to Zeke—she was the object of his every teenage dream back in the days when she was known as “Mandy the Magnificent” but he'd earned the unflattering high school senior adjective of “Ezekiel the Geekiel.”

Zeke is no longer a geek—he’s gorgeous. And Mandy doesn’t feel so magnificent since her marriage fell apart and left her up to her eyeballs in debt and despair. The minute they meet again, Mandy knows he’s exactly the kind of trouble she should avoid...but Zeke does have one thing Mandy needs to gain the independence she craves. Will he give it to her? One look at Mandy, and Zeke turns his relentless ability to get what he wants into a full-on seduction and he’s ready to give her anything. But can Mandy face down the secrets of her past to find a fairy-tale future with Zeke?

Thank you so much for having me here! You know I love this blog!

I loved Secrets on the Sand and can’t wait to read the other books in the Billionaire of Barefoot Bay series. How did you come up with the idea for this series?

After I finished writing the Barefoot Bay quartet, I really felt like I needed a palate cleanser of shorter, sexy, fun, hero-centric stories.  These are long novellas or short novels, so they can be read in one or two nights as opposed to one of my longer books that can take a bigger investment in time.  I wanted to write about the “guests” of the resort that readers had fallen in love with and what better resort guest than a billionaire?

Was it fun getting to visit with the original characters from Barefoot Bay again?

So much fun to give them cameos and secondary roles.  As the owner of the resort, Lacey plays a nice part in the first book.  These characters are integral to the series, but it was important to me that a reader who’d never read a Barefoot Bay book could pick up a Billionaire book and not feel at all lost.  Like every book I write, each novella in the trilogy stands entirely on its own.

I love we will get more Barefoot Bay books with the Brides of Barefoot Bay. Do you have any further books planned at Barefoot Bay?

Yes, there will be four Billionaires of Barefoot Bay long novellas (December, January and February) and three Barefoot Brides novels in the summer and fall of 2014.  I don’t know what’s coming beyond that -- I’ll be busy writing these!

I loved Don’t You Wish so much. Loved it was a book I could share with my teenage niece. Will you be writing any more YA books?

Thank you so much! I loved that book, too.  From the moment the concept flashed in my head (inspired by a question my daughter asked) to the day I held the final book in my hand, that one has been a joy.  It’s even been optioned for film! Sadly, I don’t think the publisher printed very many and the ebook is priced quite high, so I’m not sure DON’T YOU WISH found the audience it deserved.  I’m glad you liked it.

Yes, I have another YA coming out in October, 2014, but this one is entirely different.  This is a young adult thriller called THEY ALL FALL DOWN.  I had a lot of fun with it, though it’s quite a bit darker than DON’T YOU WISH.  It’s kind of a riff on Mean Girls meets I Am Number Four.

Will we ever get anymore Bullet Catcher or Guardian Angelinos books (Gabe…hint, hint, hint)?

Ah, the Gabe question.  I hope so.  Those two series are not “finished” in my heart or head, and I get requests for more every single day.  I need to write the Barefoot Bay books that are really resonating with readers right now and then decide what I want to write next.  Gabe haunts me, I will say that!

Let’s do a giveaway! It’s cold where most of you are and you might be dreaming about a trip to the beach soon.  What’s the prettiest beach you’ve ever seen? One commenter will get to go...four times! Leave a comment to be eligible to win a COMPLETE set of the Barefoot Bay quartet, signed to you or to a friend (makes a great gift).
