Liza’s Review:

Gabe Rossi is one of my favorite characters ever written. When I found out Roxanne St. Claire was writing his story I was over the moon. When I found out we were getting his wedding story, I couldn’t download and read the book fast enough.

I love Lila Wickham every bit as much as I love Gabe, and their son Rafe might even be more of a handful than his daddy. Seriously Rafe seems to be every bit the magnet for trouble his parents have always been. Add in time with Poppy and Uncle Nino, and I was pulled in from the very first page.

There was no way a Gabe Rossi wedding day could happen without a bit of adventure occurring. Thanks to a mischievous child just like his daddy the adventure starts with the search for missing wedding rings, moves on to keeping Rafe safe, and finally Gabe doing everything in his power to take all the worry away from Lila. While I loved the adventure and the romance of Barefoot Dreams, I think the humor in this book was my favorite part. Seriously having Gabe battle a goat had me laughing out loud.

Barefoot Dreams was the perfect wedding story for Gabe, Lila, and Rafe. I loved every single moment of this story. I absolutely would love if Ms. St. Claire decided to write a series of books with Gabe and Lila similar to the In Death series from J.D. Robb. I just know Gabe and Lila’s adventures would be every bit as wonderful as Dallas and Roarke’s. Grab your copy of Barefoot Dreams today and fall in love with Gabe Rossi yourself.

Liza’s Review:

There are times when you meet a secondary character in a book and you just want to know more about that character. Gabriel Rossi is that character for me from Roxanne St. Claire. I've wanted Gabe's story from the first time he appeared on the page back in the Guardian Angelinos series. I'm one of those readers who always wanted to know more about Gabe and wanted him to find happiness. Well, Gabriel Rossi fans, Roxanne St. Claire not only gave us Gabe's book, she gave us the perfect book for Gabe.

I'll admit I struggle writing this review. I loved Barefoot with a Bad Boy so much I honestly just want to tell everyone to trust me and go buy and read the book. Seriously, Roxanne St. Claire hit it out of the ballpark with this book. The romantic suspense elements were perfect and the romance made me swoon a few times. Add in Gabe's bad-boy presence and a kick-ass heroine in Isadora/Lila, and I just loved every single minute of this book.

I try to avoid talking about spoilers in my reviews as much as possible, so I'm going to be a vague as possible with my favorite parts of this book. I absolutely loved every single minute Gabriel Rossi was on the page. Whether he was in Mr. Spy mode or trying to keep his language clean around Poppy and Rafe, he was the Gabe I've always loved. I also loved his interactions with Isadora/Lila so very much. The chemistry between the two was so strong and only grew stronger the more time they were back together. The emotional connection was so strong that just being around Gabe effected Lila in a major way that usually only happened when she was around her son Rafe. The banter between Uncle Nino and Poppy makes me smile every single time they are on the page together. I absolutely adore both characters and love the friendship that has developed thanks to Gabe having them both under his wing.

I love a romantic suspense story that keeps me guessing until the very end and will say with all honesty, I did not see the bad guy coming. I had in my mind who it was from somewhat early on, and overlooked the signs of the read bad guy. While I hated the bad guy was able to step between Gabe and Isadora/Lila for a bit, I love the genius way it was accomplished.

Barefoot with a Bad Boy gave me the story I'd been waiting for when it came to getting Gabriel Rossi's full story and his chance at a Happily Ever After. Thank you Rocki for not only being true to one of your reader's favorite characters ever, but going above and beyond to make his story perfect.

Francesca Rossi might be the youngest in a long line of badass siblings, but this computer whiz would rather hack a database than pack a pistol for the family business in Barefoot Bay.  When an assignment forces her out of her comfort zone and into the field, Chessie decides to amp up the excitement quotient and has her first one night stand with a sexy stranger she’ll never see again.

Former CIA agent Malcolm Harris is fresh out of prison for a crime he didn’t commit, and knows the government is watching his every move, waiting for him to slip up.  But the only mistake he makes is to assume the sexy, sassy woman he seduces on the way to Barefoot Bay is a spy.  He learns too late that the beauty he’s bedded is really his best friend’s sister…and his undercover partner on a risky mission.

Chessie and Mal have to stay one step ahead of the CIA, navigate their way through a perilous country, and fight the insane chemistry that sizzles between them.  It doesn’t take long for this hacker and spy to discover the power of their unplanned partnership…and learn that falling in love might be the riskiest business of all.

I've said over and over again I'm a huge fan of Roxanne St. Claire. I found her books when she started her Bullet Catchers series, so her romantic suspense books have always been my first love. I'm so glad we are getting new romantic suspense books with the Barefoot Bay Undercover books from Roxanne St. Claire!

I absolutely loved Barefoot with a Stranger from the first page to the very last page. I've loved Francesca Rossi (Chessie) since we met her in the Guardian Angelinos books, and loved her pairing with Malcolm Harris, who just happens to be her brother Gabe's best friend. I loved Chessie and Mal had no idea who the other was when they first met and loved their smoking-hot chemistry together. Seriously loved Chessie's chance for a one-night stand was with a super hot ex-spy. I also loved when Malcolm said Francesca, as in my head it was in a super hot, super sexy voice.

I honestly expected Gabe to explode when he found out about Chessie and Mal. I mean hello, this is his baby sister, even if she is 30 now. I loved that both Mal and Chessie stood up not only for being together, but being the right team to go to Cuba to take care of business for Gabe. I love me some Gabe and absolutely loved watching him realize his baby sister was no longer a baby, but a woman with her own goals and ideas for her life. Chessie and Mal were an awesome team and work well together to complete their mission while in Cuba. Their chemistry as a couple only grew stronger the more time they spent together and I completely fell for Mal and Chessie as a couple. I loved how hard they worked to find Gabe's child that he never knew existed. As Mal and Chessie worked together to find Gabe's child, they ended up having to go all over Cuba and even back to Gitmo where Chessie worked hard to clear Mal's name and Mal was able to locate a secret message for Gabe.

I honestly felt every single emotion possible while reading Barefoot with a Stranger. I was laughing one minute and crying another. Roxanne St. Claire gave her fans another winner with Barefoot with a Stranger. Her romantic suspense chops are as awesome as ever, and I'm so excited for the next book in the series. For readers who loved the Guardian Angelinos books, we are finally getting GABE ROSSI'S BOOK!!! Barefoot with a Bad Boy is Gabe's book and the end of Barefoot with a Stranger set up Gabe's book perfectly. Thank you Rocki for another awesome story!

Liza's Review:

I'm a huge fan of Roxanne St. Claire and can't wait to read each and every book as it is released. I fell in love with her writing when I found her Bullet Catcher series and love her romantic suspense voice. Barefoot with a Bodyguard takes Rocki's readers back to her RS roots....and we get time with Gabe Rossi too.

Barefoot with a Bodyguard was an awesome story! I honestly loved every single thing about this book. Gabe Rossi has started a new business of protection/bodyguard services in Barefoot Bay. Gabe will help those individuals that Witness Protection can't help. Fans of the Guardian Angelinos series will love that we get time with Gabe in each story, as well as his grandpa, Uncle Nino.

Both Katie and Alec are very strong characters. Katie is sent into hiding while she studies for the bar exam thanks to threats her judge father is receiving about her. Alec is a MMA trainer who is in hiding from the leader of the Russian Mob. I absolutely loved that Katie fought the entire time against being set up with protection, especially since she is forced to act as if she is on her honeymoon. Katie and Alec came from such different worlds, yet I felt their connection from the beginning.

The chemistry between Alec and Katie grew stronger the more time they spent together. I loved that while Alec didn't see how Katie could find him attractive because of all his scars and his past, Katie thought he was beautiful. Of course, Alec and Katie aren't exactly the model clients for Gabe since they really aren't very good at following his rules. I really loved that Alec and Katie set up their own rules about being a couple and felt like they became a stronger couple.

The suspense elements in Barefoot with a Bodyguard are awesome. I'm usually really good about figuring out who the bad guy is yet was completely stumped as to who was sending out the threats to Katie. I honestly don't know how I missed the clues, yet I did. I absolutely loved that Alec finally figured out how much he loved Katie when he knew she was in real danger.

I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the Barefoot Bay Undercover series. Not only do we get to spend time with Gabe in each book, but Roxanne St. Claire is a master at writing romantic suspense. I absolutely love Roxanne St. Claire’s voice in all genres. Her new and old fans alike will love Barefoot with a Bodyguard.
