Liza's Review:

Lisa Coleman is in Heart Falls to help her sister Tamara, who is pregnant, out around her home until the baby is born. Lisa has always put her family first, even when things were strained, and plans to live out some of her dreams once she leaves Heart Falls, so she really hasn't started a relationship with anyone, even though she is totally attracted to Josiah Ryder, the local veterinarian.

Josiah Ryder is just as attracted to Lisa as she is to him, but only decides to try and start a relationship after hearing Lisa has no plans to return to Rocky Mountain House. Josiah seems to see some of himself in Lisa, at least when it comes to past family issues and how to proceed with their relationship. I loved the truly had a sweet courtship, even as they were insanely attracted to one another. Their slower paced romance worked for me, especially as Lisa's true future choices were really up in the air through much of this book. Not that there wasn't incredible chemistry between Josiah and Lisa; it was off the charts and I loved they waited until they were both ready for that step in their relationship.

I love that The Cowgirl's Forever Love was so family-focused. I loved how close the Coleman sisters are and how they supported each other unconditionally. They have always had a tough time connecting with their father and it was nice to see a bit of a change occur when it came to the girls and their father.

Vivian Arend gives her readers another winner with The Cowgirl's Forever Love. With the teasers we were given at the end of the story, I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Liza's Review:

I will openly admit I wanted Luke and Kelli to be together from the very first book in the Heart Falls series. I was super excited to see with A Rancher's Bride, readers would finally get their story, and it was so worth the wait.

I have to be honest and say how much I didn't like Luke's former fiancĂ© Penny. She seemed way too bitchy to ever fit in with the Stone family. Kelli has pretty much fit in from the moment she showed up at Silver Stone and really is just like a member of the Stone family. When Luke needs someone to go with him to represent Silver Stone, and pose as his significant other, the only person he thinks of is Kelli.

I loved seeing Kelli and Luke's relationship move from coworkers to more. They have always had pretty great chemistry and I love the banter back and forth between them. I just have always felt like they understood each other in a way others didn't get. When they shared their first kiss I had all the happy sighs happening and loved how fast it moved from a simple kiss to a smoking hot kiss. I've loved all of the couples from this series to date, but have to admit I've always seen there was more between Luke and Kelli.

A Rancher's Bride gave me all the happy feels the entire time I was reading it. I loved seeing Luke and Kelli share more about their pasts the closer they became. They just felt like the perfect couple to me. They both were so protective of each other and I loved watching them each realize how much they loved one another. I also loved how all the other members of the Stone family never made Kelli ever feel like less than family. The fake relationship to real relationship troupe is one of my favorites and Vivian Arend did it perfectly with A Rancher's Bride. I highly recommend her books to other readers who love contemporary romances.

Liza's Review:

A Firefighter's Christmas Gift is the perfect romance for readers looking for a sweet holiday romance. I absolutely adored Brad and Hanna's story and the addition of Brad's father Patrick and Hanna's daughter Crissy made this family Christmas story absolutely perfect.

Brad has been interested in Hanna since he returned to Heart Falls to help his dad out following an accident. Brad really is just a great guy. He puts family and friends first and hello, he fights fires for a living! Hanna hasn't had the easiest life since her parents kicked her out of the house when she became pregnant at sixteen. The only person she has shown any love or trust for since then is her little girl Crissy. However, Brad doesn't stay far from her thoughts and she is way more attracted to him than she expected.

Hanna and Crissy losing their home to a fire right before Christmas was really rough to read, yet I loved that while all of Hanna's friends wanted to help out, Brad was the one to offer them a home with him and his father. It was so sweet to see Patrick, who Crissy believed was Santa, and Brad go out of their way to turn their home into a Christmas wonderland for the little girl. I felt like the pacing of Hanna and Brad's romance was absolutely perfect for them. It had moved pretty slowly with Hanna's trust issues and Brad totally let her set the pace. Not that there wasn't great chemistry between them and a great build up to them acting on their attraction.

A Firefighter's Christmas Gift gave me all the feels. I really enjoyed this heartwarming holiday romance. It pulled so many emotions from me from beginning to end. I highly recommend this story to readers who love heartwarming romances.

A RANCHER'S SONG (HEART FALLS #2)

Can love help a champion bull rider face his fears and find his future? Welcome to Heart Falls, a new series from New York Times bestselling author Vivian Arend.

Ivy Field's heart nearly broke when she left Heart Falls, but her high school sweetheart insisted she follow-through on her dream of becoming a teacher. She thought that meant putting their relationship on hold briefly, but it's taken eleven years to return. Now she's back, no longer a painfully shy young girl but a confident woman who knows exactly what and who she wants--a home and a family--with too-sexy-for-his-boots Walker Stone. He was her first; she wants him to be her last.

Walker "Dynamite" Stone was still reeling from his parents' unexpected deaths when Ivy left. He let her go, throwing himself into work on the Silver Stone ranch and dangerous living on the rodeo circuit. But lately Walker's adrenaline junkie ways have crashed--he's having panic attacks. Potentially devastating to his budding music career, they're a deadly handicap when shooting for eight seconds aboard an angry bull. He needs to learn to face his fears to save the family fortunes. If he succeeds, this time Walker will be the one to leave Heart Falls, and Ivy, behind.

Will Ivy and Walker have to give up on forever, or can they turn this rancher's song into a winning duet?

Liza's Review:

A Rancher's Song was a wonderful addition to the Heart Falls series. I've loved getting to know each of the Stone siblings so far, and was glad to get Walker's book with A Rancher's Song.

I absolutely love a reunion romance, and Ms. Arend did an amazing job with Walker and Ivy's story. I love that Ivy and Walker were high school sweethearts who never forget the other. Total sigh worthy moment to see even after 8 years apart they still wanted to be together with only each other. I just really loved that they were every bit as attracted to one another now as they were when they were teens. They had great chemistry and could totally read each other like no one else.

Poor Walker has so much guilt over his last conversation with his father and feeling like he hasn't done enough to help out his brothers on the ranch. I really just wanted to hug his neck and Gibbs smack him at the same time. He has worked just as hard as his brothers on the ranch when home and on the rodeo circuit when not home. As for the argument with his dad, of course a teenager is going to say something stupid at one time or another, he just sadly lost his parents that same night and didn't get the chance to say he was sorry. Coming from a family were something very similar with a parent occurred, I can say it will weigh on your mind for way longer than needed.

Vivian Arend writes amazing stories that center on family, yet spotlight the individual family member so well. I love getting to spend time with favorite characters in each new book even as I'm falling in love with the new characters. Ms. Arend fills her stories with romance, laughter and lots of love and I look forward to each new adventure with each series. So much so, that I'm already counting the days until we get Luke Stone's story in the Heart Falls series.

Caleb Stone is wearing too many hats and it’s making him crankier than usual. The ranch is struggling, but it's the title of single dad that’s got him tangled up in knots. Tantalizing, tempting, and trouble with capital T’s.

Liza's Review:

A Rancher's Heart is the first book in the Heart Falls series, which is a spin-off of the Six Pack Ranch series about the Coleman clan. We first met the Stone clan in Rocky Mountain Home, and I knew I wanted Caleb's story as soon as possible. I'm so glad he was the first member of the Stone clan to get his story.

Caleb has had a rough life when it comes to romance. His ex-wife honestly can only be described as a heart-less bitch in my opinion. She was absolutely horrible to their daughters and equally horrible to Caleb. Enter Tamara Coleman, who is the polar opposite of Caleb's ex-wife. She is absolutely wonderful with his girls and from the very beginning it is so apparent how much she cares about them all.

There really was a slow build up to the romance between Caleb and Tamara. Partial because he was afraid of repeating his past and partly because they both put the girls' needs above their own. I think part of the reason I loved both these characters so much was the fact that even as they wanted each other pretty much from the first moment they saw one another, they still made sure the needs of the children remained their main priority. I think if Caleb and Tamara had jumped into a relationship too fast, I wouldn't have bought into them as a couple as easily.

A Rancher's Heart was a great start to the new Heart Falls series. I found myself wanting to know more about each of the Stone clan much as I had the Coleman clan in the Six Pack Ranch series. Fans of Vivian Arend are going to be in heaven with this new series, and new readers of Ms. Arend will want to start reading her back list as soon as they finish reading A Rancher's Heart. I highly recommend A Rancher's Heart to readers of contemporary romances.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOME (SIX PACK RANCH #11)

The FINAL NOVEL in the bestselling SIX PACK RANCH series by New York Times Bestselling Author Vivian Arend.
-------------
There’s no distance you can run to escape the past.

Too stubborn to face his sins, Jesse Coleman bolted from the Six Pack Ranch, only to fall straight into the arms of a beautiful stranger. Twelve hours later, the seductive firebrand is nothing but a whiskey-laced memory—but one powerful enough to convince Jesse tracking down his elusive lover is worth the effort.

Darilyn Hayes figured it was her lucky night when the sexiest cowboy in Alberta interrupted her annual drink-until-I-fall-over wake. At least until four weeks later when she discovers she’s pregnant and her one-night-stand is nowhere to be found. Still, as she’s shared with her devoted blog readers, Dare has dealt with life’s not-so-gentle surprises before. She’ll make it on her own.

When an internet picture gone viral leads to their reunion, Jesse’s floored by Dare’s news. She’s very clear she’s not looking for a commitment, but screw that. He’s going to do the right thing by her and his unborn kid. The fact they lit the sheets on fire is a bonus, but with a baby on the way, both their lives are gonna change.

Jesse’s got a ton of family to reconnect with, including his estranged twin. Dare holds family loosely—even though she loves them—because she knows too well how fragile life can be. Between her and Jesse, they’ve got enough baggage to open a store.

But they still have a shot at forever—if they’re willing to fight for it.

This final novel in the series contains the following:
A sexy, dirty, cocky-as-hell prodigal son Coleman with massive bridges to rebuild. A woman able to see to the heart of the matter yet bold enough to speak the truth. A family of extraordinary resolve and endless love. A wedding or two. And babies—oh lordy, the babies…

Liza's Review:

I've enjoyed each story in the Six Pack Ranch series and adore the Coleman clan. While I hate to see the series come to an end, I feel like Ms. Arend did an amazing job with Rocky Mountain Home.

I adored Jesse and Dare together. I loved how they hooked up and it made me laugh out loud that Dare ended up pregnant. It was also sweet that once Jesse found Dare again, he jumped right in to be there for her. I loved they absolutely couldn't keep their hands off each other and I fell more in love with them as a couple the longer they spent together.

I loved that after Dare opened up about her past, Jesse was more inclined to take her home to meet his family. After he had basically just run out on them, I was happy to see him being welcomed back, but also given a really hard time too. With brothers it wouldn't have made sense for them not to give him a hard time after disappearing. I really loved that with Dare's help, Jesse finally saw he was being a complete and total tool about the past and his misplaced feelings of guilt. I really loved how Dare basically smacked him in the head to make him think clearly.

I really love how the Coleman clan is so accepting of new members to the family. Dare became family as soon as she arrived on Coleman land and it was so sweet so see her connect so quickly with all the women. Honestly the only part of the book that bugged me was Jesse's harping on his reason for leaving his family. I just felt like it went on way too long and I wanted to hit him the head for harping on it for so long.

Rocky Mountain Home was a wonderful wrap up to the Six Pack Ranch series. I also loved that it set readers up for a new series. Ms. Arend once again gives her readers a sexy and emotional romance and I highly recommend it.
