Darcy Stone
is game for anything — except sexy Navy veteran and physical therapist A.J.
Colten, the guy who'd rejected her when she'd needed him most. Now the shoe is
on the other foot and he needs her to play nice and help him secure grants for
his patients. Unfortunately, Darcy can't refuse. She needs the money to fund
her passion project: rescuing S&R dogs and placing them with emotionally
wounded soldiers.
A.J. admits
it — Darcy is irresistible. But he's already been battle-scarred by a
strong-willed, vivacious, adventurous woman like Darcy, and he's not making the
same mistake twice—until he and Darcy are forced to fake a relationship.
Growing closer than they'd ever imagined possible, Darcy and AJ have to ask
themselves: how much between them is pretend? What's the real thing? And where
does it go from here?

Animal Magnetism #6
Release Date April 7, 2015
I was lucky enough to get a review copy thanks to the publisher
through NetGalley. I'm a huge fan of Jill Shalvis and absolutely love her
Animal Magnetism series.
I loved Darcy Stone and all her grumpiness from the first moment
we met her. Darcy and A.J. were both such fun characters. They were both
insanely attracted to one another but neither was willing to risk getting hurt
for the longest time. In fact, A.J. had actually rejected Darcy when she tried
to kiss him at one point. However, things change completely in Still the One.
Darcy and A.J. have to work together the help get his clinic
grant money to help grow his clinic and allow him to help other patients like
Darcy. While on a trip to secure the grant money they finally act upon their
mutual attraction and there is really no turning back at that point. The
chemistry and love scenes between A.J. and Darcy were so hot. Honestly was
surprised their friends didn't really catch on to the attraction sooner. A.J.
is a calming influence on Darcy and Darcy helps A.J. to step out and have fun.
They really did complete each other for lack of a better term.
Still the One is a
wonderful addition to the Animal Magnetism series of books. While it is the
sixth book in the series, I feel like it can be read as a stand along story
with no problem if you wanted to start with this book in the series. Be
forewarned, you will want to go back and read all of the other books in the
series after reading Still the One as
the series is that addictive.
