Some kids inherit a family business; Jo Ward inherited a
badge. Once voted Most Likely to End Up in Jail, the town wild child has become
sheriff—hell-bent on uncovering the truth about her father’s mysterious death.
Life is quiet in rustic River Bend, but Jo longs for something beyond her small
hometown and the painful memories it holds. All that keeps her sane is the
support of her best friends, Melanie and Zoe.
But when Jo signs up for an expert law enforcement training
seminar, she meets Gill Clausen, whose haunting eyes and dangerously sexy vibe
just may challenge her single-minded focus. Commitment-phobic Jo can’t deny her
attraction to the arrogant federal agent, and when odd things start happening
around River Bend and danger surrounds her, she realizes she’ll need his help
to discover who’s out to remove her from River Bend…permanently.
As Jo and Gill work together, it’s clear they make a great
team. But can Jo loosen her grip on the past enough to let love in and reach
for the future?

Liza's Review:
I've wanted Jo's story since we first met the best friends in
Doing It Over. I still love that Mel, Zoe, and Jo remain the very best of
friends with all the changes that have happened in their lives. I really
enjoyed seeing a side of Jo that she isn't able to show when she is home in
River Bend once she goes away for additional law enforcement training. The fact
that she finally meets a man who keeps her interest for more than one night was
a huge deal. It made perfect sense for me that Jo would totally end up dating a
federal agent. I loved that Jo and Gill were attracted to one another from the moment
they met and their chemistry was really off the charts hot.
I found myself wanting Jo to finally be able to discover how her
father had died more than ever so she could get on with her life. I really felt
like until she knew the truth, she would never take steps to make sure she
lived her life to the fullest. I loved that Gill couldn't stay away from Jo for
long, and especially loved that when it became apparent that Jo's life was in
danger, Gill did everything in his power to protect Jo and help find who is
after her.
I was totally wrong in my guess as to who was behind everything
in River Bend. I did figure out a few things that were going on, but the big
reveal was a shock to me. I might be in the minority, but I loved Ms. Bybee
kept me guessing right until the end. I felt like Making It Right was the
perfect ending to the Most Likely To series. I loved seeing Jo, Mel, and Zoe
finally find the happiness they all deserved. Making It Right was the perfect
combination of romance and mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat the
entire time I was reading.
