Liza's Review:
Carly Phillps once again delivers an amazing story with Dare to Play, the newest installment in her fabulous Dare Nation series. I adore a second chance romance, and loved every moment of Willow James and Braden Prescott's story.
Braden Prescott is the only male member of the Prescott family to never play sports. He became a doctor and after spending 2 years with Doctors without Borders, he knows he has found his calling to help others. By taking the roll as head physician for the Miami Thunder, he has the steady job he needs so he can find a location to volunteer to help others, along with his best friend Hudson Northfield, who also is hired as a team physician for the Thunder. The best part of working with the Thunder is the fact Braden's ex-girlfriend WiIlow James, who is the head of the Athletic Training Department. Braden is back and ready to win back the one woman he has never been able to forget.
Willow James grew up in the foster care system, so when Braden dropped the bombshell he was joining Doctors Without Borders, she ended their relationship and never expected to see him again. She once again was left behind without thought, and my heart absolutely broke for her as she shared more about her past.
Now with Braden back and Willow and Braden working together, the sparks fly from the very beginning. Braden is willing to do whatever it takes to prove to Willow he is back for good, and they belong together. I loved Braden and Willow from the very first moment. I really loved that Braden not only realized he messed up the first time they were together, but did everything possible to show Willow he had changed, and not just expect her to take him at face value. I've loved each book in the series so far, and have to say Braden and Willow gave me all the happy feels as I read this book. They had scorching hot chemistry from the very beginning and there was so much growth for both characters over the course of their story.
Carly Phillips knocked it out of the park with Dare to Stay. She gave her readers an amazing second chance romance, as well as letting readers spend a little time with all of the other Prescott siblings and their significant others. With only one more Prescott sibling awaiting her happily ever after, I loved that we were introduced to new characters in Dare to Stay. I'm already chomping at the bit to spend more time with the Kingston family!
