Roxanne St. Claire guest post and giveaway

I’m so excited to welcome New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Roxanne St. Claire to my blog today! I’m a huge fan of Rocki’s and was super excited we were getting more books from Barefoot Bay. I’ve already read and loved BAREFOOT IN WHITE, and can’t wait to read the next two books in the series. Welcome once again to my blog, Rocki!

Thank you so much for having me here and spreading the love for the new Barefoot Bay books!

I’m so excited we are getting more books that take place at Barefoot Bay.  Can you tell us a little bit about the characters from this trilogy?

The Barefoot Brides is a destination wedding business based at the Casa Blanca Resort & Spa.  The three wedding planners are the heroines of the books, starting with Willow Ambrose, who’s the star of BAREFOOT IN WHITE.

What are the release dates for each of the books and will they come out in print and digital on the same day?

They will all be in print, but that might be a FEW days after digital.  Sometimes it takes a tad longer for the print production.  The release dates are May 12 for BAREFOOT IN WHITE, then late summer and late fall for BAREFOOT IN LACE and BAREFOOT IN PEARLS.  Don’t have the exact dates for those two yet.

Once the Brides of Barefoot Bay series is finished, will you return to Barefoot Bay for any future books?

I’m not sure! I want to see how readers respond to the Brides and how I feel about doing more.  I have so many ideas brewing for contemporaries and romantic suspense!  I’m just not certain yet.

What other books do you have scheduled for release in 2014?

Besides the SIX set in Barefoot Bay??? (Remember the Billionaires trilogy came out earlier this year,  too!) I actually have a young adult thriller from Random House called THEY ALL FALL DOWN.  I loved the book -- very different for me -- and I’m excited about its release in October, 2014.

Will you be attending any events where readers can connect with you this year?

Yes! I just came back from the Romantic Times conference, and will be headed to the RWA national conference this summer. After that, New Jersey “Put Your Heart in a Book” conference in October. Readers can ALWAYS find me on Facebook and Twitter (@roxannestclaire) or my website.  I answer every email personally!

What are you currently working on?

BAREFOOT IN LACE, which is turning out to be just as emotional as the others, despite its “colorful” heroine, Gussie McBain.  She’s got her hands full with TJ DeMille.  Fun!

How would you spend a perfect Saturday?

Long walk with the dogs...shopping with my teenage daughter...cocktails by the pool...dinner cooked by my husband the chef.  I’m not even kidding when I say that pretty much IS my every Saturday!

If you or your readers have any other questions, fire away! I’ll pop in all day to answer and give away some books!

I have a copy of every book you've written. It's the "Roxanne St. Claire Honorary Shelf." Well, actually, I'm behind a few books. They're on the Kindle but not the shelf. I'd better remedy that to keep the collection complete.

That being said, I just LOVED Barefoot in White. It was so emotional yet had moments of humor. Your characters are always so well developed and the stories tug at the heart. Can't wait for Gussie's book to come out to see what you have on hand for her and TJ DeMille.

I didn't discover Roxanne St. Claire until the first Barefoot book and I must say I have fallen in love with this author. She is now one of my auto buys. The new Barefoot Brides series started out awesome. I loved Willow and Nick's story. Nick was just the right amount of alpha and sweetness combined. Another great job Rocki!

I love Barefoot Bay and Casa Blanca! The world you created there is addictive! I understand your need for a break from time to time. Can we expect more Guardians and Bullet Catchers (LOVE that name!)? I really like your romantic suspense, your talents do justice to both genre quite well!
Also, you posted a picture of you kayaking, aren't you afraid of the crocs/alligators coming that close to you?!?

I say this every single time a Barefoot book comes out, but this one was my favorite. Maybe because Nick was a Navy Seal, or because I could identify with Willow and her struggles, but this one is my current favorite.

That being said, I did something I NEVER EVER do, and that was read the first chapter of the next book at the end of this one. I purposefully ignore the preview in order to not torture myself until the next book comes out. I seriously NEVER read them. And I did it this time. I am totally intrigued by TJ already and I can't wait to read their story. Plus, I always love it when Charity makes an appearance in a Barefoot book. She rocks in a cranky-old-lady sort of way and I can't get enough of her. She endeared herself to me in Barefoot in the Rain by helping Jocelyn and I just love her. Can't wait for the next book!
