FIND ROBIN HUBER:

Nikki's Review:

Let me start by saying...how gorgeous is the cover for this book?! I don’t know how to explain it, but it gave me all sorts of warm fuzzy feelings when I was staring at it. Maybe I’m just desperate for a vacation in these COVID times, but the cover just pulled me in.

This book is all kinds of romantic. Shocker, eh? I mean, it’s a romance book after all! But I’m serious here, it’s REALLY romantic. There’s an important suspense aspect in this book, but when I wasn’t being pulled into that part of the plot, and I was really pulled in, I was totally swooning over the hero, Kellan. He’s this amazing guy. He has some baggage, but he isn’t a giant douchebag who keeps pushing the heroine, Mackayla, away. He’s so sweet and protective, but still gives off this ridiculous alpha hero aura. I’m kinda swooning on him right now.

The backdrop of this book is a secluded, exotic Island off the coast of Costa Rica, and it makes that whole romance thing a whole lot more...well, romantic! If I close my eyes, I can picture Kellan in a banana leaf loin cloth with glistening tanned skin. He actually wears pants or shorts in the book, but the banana leaf adds a little pizzaz to the hot island sexy times.

Ok, enough about my inappropriate fantasies of a fictional character. This book has all the ingredients of an amazing romantic suspense book. There’s spine tingling action, great characters that you really care about, and decadent love scenes that adds some other tingling, just not in your spine. Wink wink.

Robin Huber hit it out of the park with this book. I gobbled it up in one sitting. I ignored my family, and threw some cereal at them for dinner because I didn’t want to put it down. I really loved the last few chapters. Once the bad guys were taken of, it was so nice to have some page time with Mackayla and Kellan where they didn’t have this heavy weight on their shoulders. It was pure joy seeing what the future held for them. I was swooning...again!

LOVE SONG RELEASE DAY BLITZ

Are you ready for another rockstar romance? Elle Greco is back with LOVE SONG, the next book in her LA Rock Star series. If you love sexy musicians, be sure to grab your copy today or start reading it for free with Kindle Unlimited!

About LOVE SONG

Jett Benson is having a bad week.
To start, she was kicked out of her soon to be ex-stepfather’s Bel Air mansion. Then, UCLA gave her the boot because of an unpaid tuition bill. Finally, her crappy car just broke down in Venice Beach, and she doesn’t have the money to fix it.
And that’s just Monday.
Jett needs a job. And fast. But with her car out of commission and a resume that screams unemployable, she has no choice but to crash on her ex-stepbrother Rafe’s couch until she gets back on her feet.
Once mortal enemies, a bond grew between Jett and Rafe when their bands toured together. It’s a bond that Jett’s trying to avoid before it morphs into something more. And that something more could break her heart because Rafe’s left a path of shattered ones in his wake.
Rafe Davis was adopted into rock and roll royalty. When his own father, guitar player for legendary rock band Anthem, fell victim to the cut-throat music industry, Rafe was enveloped by the Davis clan. Now, like his dad, Rafe is a guitar player, but for Rogue Nation, a band whose debut album is following Anthem’s meteoric trajectory. But Rafe is determined not to repeat history, even if that means guarding his heart against the one person who believes in him.
So Jett needs to find a J-O-B and get off Rafe’s couch before she climbs into his bed. Because for both of them, falling in love is not an option.
Love Song is the second book in the LA Rock Star Romance series. Set in the glam and gritty Los Angeles rock scene, the series is filled with swoon-worthy men and badass women, all chasing their dreams in Hollywood’s cut-throat music industry.
Get ready to fall in love with another LA Rock Star.

About ELLE GRECO

I write fiction about badass women (and the people they love).

Urban Fantasy lovers will know me as Karen Greco, author of the best-selling Hell’s Belle series. My Contemporary Romance books are written under Elle Greco.

While the genres are worlds apart, strong female characters are the chain that links all my worlds.

These women are magical. They wield wicked weapons. They play a mean drum solo. They fall in love. They rule the boardroom and the bedroom.

Whatever they do, they do it with swagger.

My storytelling career began when I forced everyone play “make believe” with me when I was a kid. That eventually morphed into banging out short stories on my mom’s old manual typewriter. As I got older, I graduated to penning bad poetry, then not terrible plays as a teenager. I studied playwright in college but my career took a detour and I ended up working in journalism and then entertainment publicity, which kept me busy for 20 or so years.

My “day job” has taken me from gritty rock clubs in The Bowery to glam red carpets during movie premieres and awards shows. My background working with talent (and the suits) in the industry has served me well with the LA Rock Star Romance series.

A few years ago, I decided to pursue my original passion and a few full-length novels later, here we are.

I love anything spooky and impossible to explain. If you love hanging out in cemeteries, the older the better, I’d totally go on a road trip with you.

I have two rescue dogs, a patient husband, and an awesome kid.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

Recipe for a Boston Classic Cocktail: one part finance geek, one part starving actor, two shots of stubborn and a healthy squeeze of passion. Shake well and serve in a vintage glass.

When Kate Bishop walks into Boston’s famous Bull and Finch pub, all she’s looking for is one guy from her investment firm that she can trust to have her back—a tall order. With a salesman at her side, maybe stage fright won’t paralyze her completely when she presents her meticulously prepared research to clients. And maybe she can save her job.

Romance is the last thing on her to-do list, but a meet-cute with a Shakespeare-quoting bartender has her speculating on the value of diversifying her life portfolio.

Will Talbot is not a fan of the slick financiers who cram into his bar after each day’s closing bell. With their calls for Harvey Wallbangers and their Hermès ties, they’re all the same.

Except for a certain beautiful, buttoned-up brunette with fire in her eyes and a storm in her heart. They’re totally wrong for each other. He should be focusing on his upcoming audition, not coaching Kate on how to act like she's a bona fide member of the Gordon Gekko club.

Problem is, they can’t seem to stay away from each other.

The course of true love never did run smooth, but in this 1980's sweet-and-sexy rom-com, returns on love can’t be measured on the S&P 500.

Liza's Review:

What I'm Looking For is the first book in the Boston Classics series from Karen Grey. Ms. Grey takes her readers back to the 80's and I felt all the nostalgia while reading this book as I grew up in the 80's. Kate is bit of a numbers nerd working as a top financial analyst, which was a very male-dominated field in the 80's. Will works as a stage actor and part-time bartender to help make ends meet. They meet when Kate heads to happy hour to convince one of her male coworkers to join her on sales trips. While Kate is a wizard when it comes to stats, she has poor presentation skills and feels a salesman would help her become more comfortable. Will and Kate seem to connect pretty much from their first meeting when Will mixes her the perfect cocktail to drink while with the Old Boy's Club.

Will and Kate are defiantly an opposites attract romance. Kate is on the fast path to partner as a financial analyst and Will pretty much eschews anything to do with her business because of this past with his father. Also, until Will meets Kate he is pretty comfortable just making ends meet and not trying to work in any other medium than stage acting. I really liked that Will helped Kate come out of her shell and bit and Kate seems to help Will look at options beyond only the stage for his acting career. I enjoyed the banter between Kate and Will and felt they had really great chemistry. I really felt like they helped each become the best part of themselves. I will say I loved how Will tried to come up with the perfect Shakespeare quote for every situation. I loved even more when I knew the quote already.

I did have a few issues as I listened to this book. Will and Kate weren't always the best with communicating with one another. I get all romances have their own dark moment before the couple moves forward. I wondered if they would continue to have communication issues later. I also didn't love some of the mentions of product placement from the future; be it the Harvard facebook or wireless phones (aka cell phones), especially since there were already cordless phones by the late 80's. I did laugh out loud at the actually brick car phone mentioned, especially as Kate yelled when she used it the first time. That was so spot on with the friends I knew who had early versions of car phones.

I enjoyed the story on the whole even with the few issues. I especially adored the supporting characters from this book. Will's roommates who totally mothered him had me laughing out loud almost every time they were around. I also loved Kate's best friend Alice, and while I didn't expect to at first meeting, "Hot Steve" from Kate's office. He grew every bit as much as a character as both Will and Kate over the course of the book, and I'd love to see more of him in future books.

Rating Narrations: 5 Stars (A) Joe Arden and Karen White are 2 of the best narrators in the business and they both totally brought this story to life for me. I know when I see either of them listed on an audiobook, I'm in for an amazing narration. I felt there was a seamless transition between these two as they moved between the different characters. Outstanding performance by both.

Rating Story: 4 Stars (B-) Liked it, but had a few small issues. Recommend
