RUSH OF INSANITY

She won’t go down without a fight…and he’s looking forward to it.

Harper left the world famous solo artist, Judd Hart, over a year ago. No matter how much she cared for him, their worlds were miles apart. All they shared was great sex and the ability to drive each other crazy. So why is she at his concert, drooling over the sound of his delicious voice, when she’s spent months convincing herself they can never work?

Letting Harper walk out on him was the biggest mistake of Judd’s life. And now that he’s sighted her amongst the crowd, he won’t let her run away again. Not even if it means holding her hostage on his tour bus until he can seduce some sense into her. They have a lot to work out, but this time, he will do whatever it takes to convince her they have a future.

Apart, their lives are smooth sailing. Together, it’s pure craziness. But sometimes it’s okay to enjoy the rush of insanity.

Nikki’s Review:

I am always so delighted to read anything by Eden Summers! Her writing always sucks me in and keeps me captive until the last page.

This book was a fun, quick, and sexy read. It's a novella, but it's packed with humour, emotion, and tons of tour bus bumping and grinding! Harper isn't comfortable in her own skin when she's with Judd. It's why she left the sexy rock star a year before. She loves him and wants him, but she doesn't recognize herself when she's immersed in his life. I think most people can relate to trying to be or live up to something they're not, at one time or another, for a multitude of reasons. Harper is terrified that Judd won't want her when he gets to know the real her. It was easy to relate to Harpers feelings of insecurity. We all want to be wanted and to be liked, but if the stuff that makes us likeable is wiped away, is what's left, enough?

I really liked Judd! He's a rock star, but without all the stereotypical crap that comes with the job title. He's likeable and easy going. And all he wants, is to have Harper by his side. He loves her spunk and sass, but he doesn't need the outside stuff to be happy. He just needs her heart. Sigh...he is crazy sweet!

I had some great laugh out loud moments while reading this book. Eden Summers can write fantastic dialogue. The snark factor from Harper is a hoot! The events of this book take place in a very short time span, but you get a real feel of what the characters are going through, and of their history together. You get a full story in this wonderful novella. I loved watching Judd break through all of Harpers walls and defenses. He was impossible to resist. I found myself wanting to shake Harper a few times. A lifetime of happiness was staring straight at her! It was a relief was she finally succumbed to the love she felt for Judd.

If you're looking for a book that will give you all sorts of "feels", and can be read in an evening...Rush of Insanity, is it! Do yourself a favour and check out anything written by Eden Summers, she never leaves me wanting. Wait! That's not true. She does leave me wanting...wanting more to read!
