Liza's Review:

Originally published 12 years ago for Harlequin, Filthy Rich Revenge has revised and expanded. I didn't read the original story, but really enjoyed the expanded story. Alejandro and Rebecca had an affair 5 years ago, and Alejandro blames Rebecca for the loss of a huge business deal and vows revenge. When Rebecca's family business needs bailing out, Alejandro is in place to finally get revenge on Rebecca.

I'm not going to lie, I pretty much hated Alejandro in the beginning. He was a condescending asshat, and really didn't listen when Rebecca tried to explain anything. While I felt like Rebecca hadn't been very strong when they were originally together, she had a history behind her reasoning for leaving so quickly. I really loved how strong she was when they met again. She was focused on keeping her family business going and protecting her employees. She still has some emotional baggage from past relationships, yet had never really forgotten Alejandro or stopped loving him.

Alejandro was a tough character to love. Honestly it took me a good bit of the book to warm up to him. I could see had had goodness to him, yet he seemed to not listen to his instincts about Rebecca from way too long. However, after meeting his parents, I started to see part of why he had a wall to protect himself. After learning about the death of his daughter, I finally understood him enough to see past his hardened exterior. Another reason I started to fall for him was seeing how much he cared for Rebecca from the beginning, even when he was being a total tool.

Rebecca and Alejandro had amazing chemistry from page one, and I really wanted them both to let everything go from their past to make their future work. I won't lie, their path to happily ever after was a bit of a roller coaster ride, and I totally enjoyed the journey.

I enjoyed Rebecca and Alejandro's story, especially the growth of both characters over the course of the story. I really can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series from Lynn Raye Harris.
