Liza's Review:

Dare to Resist is the first book in the Dare Nation series from Carly Phillips. The Dare family is absolutely one of my favorite series of characters from Carly Phillips. I was so excited to discover we had more Dares with the Prescott children. Paul Dare, who is Robert Dare's brother, helped out his best friend and her husband when they couldn't have children and only recently shared with Austin Prescott and his siblings when he needed a kidney transplant. I loved getting to finally meet Paul Dare, and all the new Prescott-Dares.

Austin Prescott is a former NFL player and sports agent who needs a fantastic assistant to keep him in the know and everything running smoothly while he recovers from kidney transplant surgery. When Quinnlyn Scott applies, he knows she is perfect for the job...even if Austin feels an instant attraction to her. Quinn is smart; super organized, and knows what she wants out of life, and willing to work hard to get it. She also knows what she doesn't want thanks to her family, and that is children of her own. When Austin arrives home from an evening out to find a baby with a note stating Jenny is his, he knows he needs the help of his organized and amazing assistant Quinn to help him out.

I loved both Austin and Quinn from the very first. They worked amazingly well both at the office and at home as Quinn taught Austin how to care for Jenny. Thanks to Quinn's family always relying on her to care for her younger siblings and cousins, she is like a baby-whisperer. I loved how she stepped in to help out and how protective she became over anyone other than she or Austin caring for Jenny. The mutual attraction between Austin and Quinn had been there from their very first meeting, and I loved they grew closer to one another and their chemistry only grew stronger with each passing day. I absolutely fell in love with them as a couple. I loved how Austin saw the real Quinn and accepted her exactly as she was, and Quinn was always honest about what she wanted and didn't want. Both Quinn and Austin are such strong characters, their finding each other and accepting each other made me so happy. Seriously, this book was like catnip to me.

Carly Phillips gave me all the happy feels with this secret baby, office romance. Readers will fall in love with a whole new family of Dares! I can't wait to read more stories in this series.
