Liza’s Review:

Last Christmas is an anthology for second chance romances from Marquita Valentine. I had only read one of the stories prior to getting a copy for review.

I had read The Christmas Bride prior to the Last Christmas anthology and it only made me want to go back and revisit The Brides of Holland Springs series again. I absolutely adored Logan's and Willow's story from start to finish. I had all the happy feels for this story and was so happy to revisit these characters.

Rating: 5 stars (A)

His Christmas Wish (Holland Springs series) was a new to me story, and I found myself falling for Sage and Joaquin pretty quickly in the story. While I didn't love how Joaquin "tricked" Sage into communicating while they were separated, I found myself totally falling for this sweet story. A bit of a modern day Romeo and Juliet without the deaths, and families battling it out through car dealerships. This story had me laughing out loud a few times and hit all my happy places.

Rating: 5 stars (A+)

All For You (Boys of the South series) honestly was a struggle for me. I won't lie, I hate the idea of someone bullying another person, and it took me a bit to get through this story. Wes had bullied McKenzie while in high school to get her attention and honestly was about the biggest ass on the face of the planet. He lied to her and not only did he not protect her, he seemed to encourage his friends to also bully her. As he returns home for Christmas break, he suddenly seems to need to make things right after discovering a guy in his dorm had committed suicide following years of being bullied. While I have no doubt Wes did care for McKenzie, he acted like a 5 year old on the playground pulling a little girl's hair to get her attention. This one story didn't work for me, which makes me very sad as I adored the other books in the Boys of the South series.

Rating: 2.5 Stars (C-)

Maxim (Short from the Romanovs) was brand new to me. I actually have all the Romanovs books on my kindle, but hadn't read the series yet. This story was full of yummy suspense and action, and I loved every moment of this fast-paced introduction to this series. I'm sure I would have known more about the other characters had I read all the books in the series first, but this short has me wanting more, and I'm so glad there are several stories for me to binge soon
