At least it's supposed to be. For Libby Leeds, however, the holiday season is just another reminder of things she'd rather forget. I absolutely adore the Sanctuary Island series from Lily Everett. I was so glad Andie’s brother Owen was getting his story with Home for Christmas.

I loved Home for Christmas so very much! I actually think it is my new favorite book in the series.  I loved Libby and Owen from the moment they each appeared on the page. I loved that Libby was attracted to Owen from the moment she saw him on the news talking about wanting to give his daughter the perfect Christmas. I also loved that when they first met in person, Owen and Libby seemed to have an immediate connection.

I didn’t love that Libby had lied to her publisher about her family life and where she lived, but I was really glad when her grandfather stepped up to let her come home to Sanctuary Island for Christmas. I didn’t love that her boss threatened to prosecute her for lying, nor did I believe he really had a case, but I was so glad Libby was able to go home for Christmas. I loved that everyone on Sanctuary Island accepted Libby’s presence so quickly and acted as if she had always been there. I think I feel like Sanctuary Island’s residents really do protect all of the people they feel like are their own, and Libby was quickly brought into the fold.

I loved that Owen’s daughter Caitlin connected just as quickly to Libby as Owen did. Since Libby was helping Owen give Caitlin the perfect Christmas, it was so sweet to watch them become a little family. I think I fell in love with their little family every bit as much as I fell for Owen and Libby as a couple.

I loved everything about Home for Christmas.  Watching Libby find her place at home and finally having the family she has always dreamed of made me so happy. Home for Christmas is a really sweet, funny and romantic story and it was the perfect Christmas story in my opinion.
