JUST A LITTLE FLIRT

Saying yes has always come easy for Fallon. Now, in Renita Pizzitola’s steamy, poignant new novel, winning her dream job means saying no to the guy she wants the most.

Between all the parties and random hook-ups, Fallon Carr is this close to flunking out of college. But her internship working with pediatric patients means the world to her—especially since, at the end of the summer, one lucky intern will be offered a paid position. Determined to leave her bad reputation behind, Fallon even takes a bet that she won’t sleep with anyone from work. But there’s one little catch. . . .

Not only is Cade Ryan the hottest guy Fallon has ever laid eyes on, he’s a therapy dog handler who volunteers his time to visit kids at the hospital. So when he starts pursuing her, Fallon can’t believe her bad timing. The thing is, Cade is different. He’s not like the college guys who see her as a one-night stand, or the high-school boyfriend who took a part of her she can never get back. Cade genuinely wants to spend time with her—and not just between the sheets.

Fallon won’t let her growing feelings for Cade get in the way of her dreams. Besides, no guy can break down the walls she put up long ago. So what’s the harm in a little flirting? It’s not like she’s falling in love. But she may have seriously underestimated how complicated things can get when the perfect guy falls for her first.

Crush #2
Release Day March 31, 2015

Renita Pizzitola is a new-to-me author. I was lucky enough to get a review copy from the publisher through NetGalley. I will admit I had not read the first book in the Crush series, as Just a Little Flirt was the first book I've read from Renita Pizzitola.

Just a Little Flirt is a new adult contemporary romance. Fallon Carr has just finished her freshman year of college and is very close to flunking out. However she did get an internship for the summer working with pediatric patients and she has decided this will be her time to turn her life around.  part of that means now more guys and no more drinking. Fallon seemed a bit immature at the beginning of Just a Little Flirt, but as the story progressed, I felt like Fallon really started to grow up and become more mature.

Cade Ryan is older than Fallon and they pretty much had instant attraction from the very beginning. Cade doesn't see Fallon based upon anything in her past. He honestly wants to spend time with her and is even willing to just be her friend if that is the only way they can spend time together. Cade is a dog handler who volunteers with his dog Scout at the pediatric playroom. Cade is such a nice guy that he almost seemed too good to be true, and really proved he was worth Fallon taking a chance on him.

I loved that the more time Cade and Fallon spent together, the more open Fallon was about her past. I really thought it was sweet that Scout seemed to feel when Fallon needed him and stayed right next to her when Fallon and Cade had important discussions. Cade and Fallon had really great chemistry and although there were a few misunderstandings between them, I honestly wanted their relationship to make it.

I enjoy reading new adult romances and have to say I liked Just a Little Flirt. I really enjoyed Renita Pizzitola's voice and not only plan to go back and read the first Crush book, but read other books from her as well.
