No Accounting For Cowboys Spotlight & Giveaway

But the past year hasn’t been easy—his father’s good name has been tarnished, and new financial problems are threatening to destroy everything the Gradys have built. Accountant Paige Reynolds found Jake’s guitar-playing alter ego intriguing, but her connection with the real Jake sends her attraction into overdrive. When she’s summoned to make order out of the chaotic paper trail at Bull’s Hollow, he sets her world a-rocking—both in bed and out. But Paige has a plan; she’s determined to create her own path for the future, but is soon left scrambling for firmer ground.

Good news about Jake’s potential singing career is followed by the revelation of another family secret, one that has him questioning whether he belongs at Bull’s Hollow at all. But leaving the ranch would mean leaving his family…and Paige. How much is he willing to give up for a real shot at fame?

Waiting on You

Is your first love worth a second chance…?
Colleen O'Rourke is in love with love…just not when it comes to herself. Most nights, she can be found behind the bar at the Manningsport, New York, tavern she owns with her twin brother, doling out romantic advice to the lovelorn, mixing martinis and staying more or less happily single. See, ten years ago, Lucas Campbell broke her heart…an experience Colleen doesn't want to have again, thanks. Since then, she's been happy with a fling here and there, some elite-level flirting and playing matchmaker to her friends.
But a family emergency has brought Lucas back to town, handsome as ever and still the only man who's ever been able to crack her defenses. Seems like maybe they've got some unfinished business waiting for them—but to find out, Colleen has to let her guard down, or risk losing a second chance with the only man she's ever loved.
Release Date April 1, 2014 Harlequin HQN Blue Heron Series

I was lucky enough to get a review copy of Waiting on You thanks to the publisher through NetGalley.

Colleen is one of my favorite characters ever from this series. I love she is so feisty and strong and it really cracked me up to see her off her game once Lucas came back to town.

I loved Lucas and Colleen together. The more I learned about his past, the more I just wanted to hug him. Lucas and Colleen had amazing chemistry and I loved not only learning about their history as the each remembered the past, but watching them both fall in love all over again.

Kristan Higgins gives her readers another winner with Waiting On You. In fact, Waiting on You is my favorite in the Blue Heron series to date.

Long For Me:A Secrets & Shadows Novella

In Long for Me by Shiloh Walker, Christina Bell remembers what it was like to be part of a loving family. The youngest of the Bell children, she simply cannot believe that her dad, or anyone else she loves, had a hand in her mother’s disappearance. She’s looking forward to moving on and spending more time with her sexy best friend, Guy Miller, who she is starting to see in a whole new light. Their attraction sizzling and love deepening, Christina feels confident in her life and ability to handle what comes her way...But when Nichole’s body is found—and the mystery of her death slowly reveals itself—Christina is left not knowing who to trust. What if Guy, her one true desire, proves to be her biggest danger?

Release date May 13, 2014 St. Martin's Press

Long for Me is the 3rd novella about the Bell siblings. Chris (Tink) is the youngest of the Bell siblings and honestly seemed to be most effected by her mother's disappearance. Chris has a learning disability and her mom was the one who could really help her focus to study and learn. Chris has always had Guy Miller in her life. He lived down the road from them when they were kids and has always been like a part of the Bell family. I loved Guy from the moment he appeared on the page.

I really enjoyed Long for Me very much. I liked that we finally got the truth about what happened to Nichole and love how the siblings and their father finally started making up for lost time. When Guy and Chris were in the room together, the chemistry was absolutely amazing and I did love they both totally understood the other. My only issue with the entire story was Chris being so on again off again with Guy. He had always been there for her and she knew he loved her, as much as she loved him, yet she sent off so many mixed signals.

I’m super excited that Shiloh Walker will continue the Secrets & Shadows series with Deeper Than Need, which is set for release on June 3, 2014.

RAGT BLOGGER LOUNGE 2014

June is almost here, which means the Lori Foster Annual Reader Author Get Together is right around the corner! I've been going down to West Chester (which is a suburb of Cincinnati) for the last couple of years, and love catching up with bloggers and authors who I've been lucky enough to meet. This year however, there is something new and exciting in the works: Blogger Lounge. Along with Literary Escapism,  Barclay PublicityJoyfully ReviewedBlogging by Liza, we'll be hosting the first ever RAGT Blogger Lounge in Suite 120, which should hopefully be a giant party. We have quite a bit planned and all of it is based on the idea of getting authors, readers, and bloggers all together in one room.

Here's the schedule:

ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSIONS
  • If You Don't Invest in Your Brand, No One Else Will Either. (Friday at 10am) This round table get together is ideal for aspiring and debut authors. Danielle Barclay, owner of Barclay Publicity will give tips for building an author brand and explain why it's so important. Topics include learning how to identify your unique selling points to develop your author persona, building a branded website, creating a newsletter, engaging fans with social media and more. (Giveaways) Moderators: Danielle Barclay (Barclay Publicity)
  • The Author-Blogger Relationship (Friday at 11:30am) Calling all aspiring and debut authors! Learn the best way to approach a blogger when requesting a review or tour stop and why it's so important to build relationships. Industry experts will reveal tactics for running a successful blog tour, hosting a giveaway, how to genuinely engage and build a reader fan base, and how keep those relationships strong. Moderators: Jackie (Literary Escapism)
  • Social Media Interaction (Saturday at 10am) Getting Bloggers & Readers together to swap ideas and talk books. What do Readers want to see--what things do they like/dislike for features, what do they look for when they read reviews, etc? As well as how to maintain a well-run blog. Wordpress vs Blogger. Understanding Stats. Maybe a "how to" of sorts for newer bloggers/authors/readers who have questions. Learn the best way to use social media, as well as how to grow your fanbase. (Giveaways) Moderators: Liza (Blogging by Liza) & Jen (That's What I'm Talking About)
#RAGTLIVE We'll be hosting 6 interview sessions, and even if you can't make it to RAGT, you'll be able to watch them live via Google Hangouts OnAir. This should be a really fun session as each one is broken down by genre.
We have room in the Historical and LGBT #RAGTLive sessions, so if you're an author who's attending RAGT and would like to participate, let us know! I am working on setting up another session to feature some of the authors who were hoping to get on a few of the maxed out panels, but I won't know for sure until after RT. GENRE LOUNGES The best way to describe The Genre Lounges is this: Come by the Blogger Lounge and meet authors/reviewers/readers of certain genres (both Adult, NA, & YA) in a relaxed, informal setting. Many authors write in multiple genres, so don't be surprised if you see one in multiple lounges; but the goal was to offer a time to meet authors/reviewers/readers of a specific genre at one time. If all you read is science fiction or LGBT fiction (for example), it can be hard to distinguish these authors from everybody when everyone is together. At the same time, if you're a Erotica or Historical author, it can be hard to figure out which blogger reviews those genres. We're hoping the lounges will allow an easier time for everyone to find these answers. The Genre Lounges will take place directly after the corresponding f#RAGTLive session.
  • Erotica (Friday at 1p)
  • Fantasy, Paranormal, SciFi (Friday at 4:30p)
  • Historical (Saturday at 11:30a)
  • Contemporary Romance (Saturday at 2:30p)
  • LGBT Romance (Saturday at 5:30p)
For any reviewer/blogger who is willing to commit to attending one of the Lounges, your site name will be included on the Blogger Lounge welcome banner, which will be situated at the door. Just let one of us know and send your site button to jackie @literaryescapism.com. SOCIAL EVENTS
  • Bar Night! (Friday at 9p) It's never a con without spending a little time in the bar, so before heading to bed, join Literary Escapism and Blogging by Liza for a night cap and a little socialing!
  • Book Boyfriend Bingo (Saturday at 8p) Mingle with readers, bloggers, and authors while matching up your favorite book boyfriends/covers from popular books during a fast paced round of Book Boyfriend Bingo. There will be giveaways and prizes! Moderator: Barclay Publicity
  • Game Night with Cards Against Humanity and more! Socialize with other readers while playing Cards Against Humanity, Apples to Apples, Headbandz, and other card games, board games, etc. Moderator: Literary Escapism

Press Room:

What's a Blogger Lounge without a press room? After all, we're all here to see our favorite authors and meet some new ones. For anyone who would like the chance to meet one on one with any of the fabulous authors attending RAGT, request some time in the press room! To reserve time in the Press Room, simply fill out this form here and Jackie will send a confirmation once that time has been scheduled.

Roxanne St. Claire guest post and giveaway

I’m so excited to welcome New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Roxanne St. Claire to my blog today! I’m a huge fan of Rocki’s and was super excited we were getting more books from Barefoot Bay. I’ve already read and loved BAREFOOT IN WHITE, and can’t wait to read the next two books in the series. Welcome once again to my blog, Rocki!

Thank you so much for having me here and spreading the love for the new Barefoot Bay books!

I’m so excited we are getting more books that take place at Barefoot Bay.  Can you tell us a little bit about the characters from this trilogy?

The Barefoot Brides is a destination wedding business based at the Casa Blanca Resort & Spa.  The three wedding planners are the heroines of the books, starting with Willow Ambrose, who’s the star of BAREFOOT IN WHITE.

What are the release dates for each of the books and will they come out in print and digital on the same day?

They will all be in print, but that might be a FEW days after digital.  Sometimes it takes a tad longer for the print production.  The release dates are May 12 for BAREFOOT IN WHITE, then late summer and late fall for BAREFOOT IN LACE and BAREFOOT IN PEARLS.  Don’t have the exact dates for those two yet.

Once the Brides of Barefoot Bay series is finished, will you return to Barefoot Bay for any future books?

I’m not sure! I want to see how readers respond to the Brides and how I feel about doing more.  I have so many ideas brewing for contemporaries and romantic suspense!  I’m just not certain yet.

What other books do you have scheduled for release in 2014?

Besides the SIX set in Barefoot Bay??? (Remember the Billionaires trilogy came out earlier this year,  too!) I actually have a young adult thriller from Random House called THEY ALL FALL DOWN.  I loved the book -- very different for me -- and I’m excited about its release in October, 2014.

Will you be attending any events where readers can connect with you this year?

Yes! I just came back from the Romantic Times conference, and will be headed to the RWA national conference this summer. After that, New Jersey “Put Your Heart in a Book” conference in October. Readers can ALWAYS find me on Facebook and Twitter (@roxannestclaire) or my website.  I answer every email personally!

What are you currently working on?

BAREFOOT IN LACE, which is turning out to be just as emotional as the others, despite its “colorful” heroine, Gussie McBain.  She’s got her hands full with TJ DeMille.  Fun!

How would you spend a perfect Saturday?

Long walk with the dogs...shopping with my teenage daughter...cocktails by the pool...dinner cooked by my husband the chef.  I’m not even kidding when I say that pretty much IS my every Saturday!

If you or your readers have any other questions, fire away! I’ll pop in all day to answer and give away some books!

Roxanne St. Claire is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than thirty novels of suspense and romance, including three popular series (Barefoot Bay, The Bullet Catchers, and The Guardian Angelinos) and multiple stand-alone books.
