It's Always Been You

She plays by the rules . . .

Captain Ben Teague is many things: a tough soldier, a loyal friend, and a bona fide smart-ass. He doesn't have much tolerance for BS, which is why he's mad as hell when a trusted colleague and mentor is brought up on charges that can't possibly be true. He's even more frustrated with by-the-book lawyer Major Olivia Hale. But there's something simmering beneath her icy reserve--and Ben just can't resist turning up the heat . . .

. . . and he's determined to break them

The only thing riskier than mixing business with pleasure is enjoying it . . . and Olivia can't resist locking horns--and lips--with Ben. He's got more compassion in his little finger than any commander she's ever met, a fact that makes him a better leader than he realizes. But when the case that brought them together awakens demons from Olivia's past, she will have to choose between following orders--or her heart . . .

Release Date 3/4/14 Forever Publishing Coming Home #5

Jessica Scott likes to rip my heart out with her stories, and I totally love her for it. I know when I pick up one of her books, I'm going to feel all the emotions and it is worth every single minute.

I really enjoyed reading Ben and Olivia's story. They both want what is best for the men and women they work with, yet don't always agree with how it should be done. Add in the sexual attraction between them, and readers are given another wonderful fun and sexy story.

Ben struggles with being a commander through much of this story. He has never wanted to be a commander and really doesn't feel like he has earned the right. He will do anything to protect those under his command, even it if means stepping outside the lines.

Olivia is a by-the-book girl thanks to her past. She has never been one to step outside the lines until she meets Ben. She still kept Ben from completely breaking the rules, but did bend them like never before. Olivia and Ben were really different from one another, but their differences seemed to make them work as a couple for me.

I’m a huge fan of Jessica Scott and her Coming Home series. I love reading each installment and can’t wait for the next book in the series.
