New
York Times and USA Today bestselling author Roxanne St. Claire has been
enchanting readers with stories set on an idyllic slice of paradise off the
coast of Florida known as Barefoot Bay for two years. In the first Barefoot Bay
series, four friends joined forces to build and run a homegrown resort and spa
and, in the process, found life-long love.
Now
it is time to get to know some of the special guests of Casa Blanca Resort
& Spa, which is fast turning into a playground for the rich and an elite
destination wedding site. In the brand new Billionaires of Barefoot Bay
trilogy, meet a trio of sexy heroes and the most unlikely ladies who steal
their hearts in three novella-length (appx. 150 pages) love stories.
In
Secrets on the Sand, Zeke Nicholas has turned his mathematical genius skills
into a mountain of money. But Zeke sits on that mountain all alone, longing for
the one thing money cannot buy: a lifelong partner and true love. Zeke grew up
near Barefoot Bay and is staying at the resort for a week while he’s in town
for a family event. Enter Mandy Mitchell...the maid. Except, Mandy is much more
than that to Zeke—she was the object of his every teenage dream back in the
days when she was known as “Mandy the Magnificent” but he'd earned the
unflattering high school senior adjective of “Ezekiel the Geekiel.”
Zeke
is no longer a geek—he’s gorgeous. And Mandy doesn’t feel so magnificent since
her marriage fell apart and left her up to her eyeballs in debt and despair.
The minute they meet again, Mandy knows he’s exactly the kind of trouble she
should avoid...but Zeke does have one thing Mandy needs to gain the
independence she craves. Will he give it to her? One look at Mandy, and Zeke
turns his relentless ability to get what he wants into a full-on seduction and
he’s ready to give her anything. But can Mandy face down the secrets of her
past to find a fairy-tale future with Zeke?
Thank you so much for having me here! You know I love this
blog!
I loved Secrets on the Sand and can’t wait to
read the other books in the Billionaire of Barefoot Bay series. How did you
come up with the idea for this series?
After I finished writing the
Barefoot Bay quartet, I really felt like I needed a palate cleanser of shorter,
sexy, fun, hero-centric stories. These
are long novellas or short novels, so they can be read in one or two nights as
opposed to one of my longer books that can take a bigger investment in
time. I wanted to write about the
“guests” of the resort that readers had fallen in love with and what better
resort guest than a billionaire?
Was it fun getting to
visit with the original characters from Barefoot Bay again?
So much fun to give them cameos
and secondary roles. As the owner of the
resort, Lacey plays a nice part in the first book. These characters are integral to the series,
but it was important to me that a reader who’d never read a Barefoot Bay book
could pick up a Billionaire book and not feel at all lost. Like every book I write, each novella in the
trilogy stands entirely on its own.
I love we will get
more Barefoot Bay books with the Brides of Barefoot Bay. Do you have any
further books planned at Barefoot Bay?
Yes, there will be four
Billionaires of Barefoot Bay long novellas (December, January and February) and
three Barefoot Brides novels in the summer and fall of 2014. I don’t know what’s coming beyond that --
I’ll be busy writing these!
I loved Don’t You Wish so much. Loved it was a
book I could share with my teenage niece. Will you be writing any more YA
books?
Thank you so much! I loved that
book, too. From the moment the concept
flashed in my head (inspired by a question my daughter asked) to the day I held
the final book in my hand, that one has been a joy. It’s even been optioned for film! Sadly, I
don’t think the publisher printed very many and the ebook is priced quite high,
so I’m not sure DON’T YOU WISH found the audience it deserved. I’m glad you liked it.
Yes, I have another YA coming out
in October, 2014, but this one is entirely different. This is a young adult thriller called THEY
ALL FALL DOWN. I had a lot of fun with
it, though it’s quite a bit darker than DON’T YOU WISH. It’s kind of a riff on Mean Girls meets I Am
Number Four.
Will we ever get
anymore Bullet Catcher or Guardian Angelinos books (Gabe…hint, hint, hint)?
Ah, the Gabe question. I hope so.
Those two series are not “finished” in my heart or head, and I get
requests for more every single day. I
need to write the Barefoot Bay books that are really resonating with readers
right now and then decide what I want to write next. Gabe haunts me, I will say that!
Let’s do a giveaway! It’s cold where most of you are and you
might be dreaming about a trip to the beach soon. What’s the prettiest beach you’ve ever seen?
One commenter will get to go...four times! Leave a comment to be eligible to
win a COMPLETE set of the Barefoot Bay quartet, signed to you or to a friend
(makes a great gift).

I would have to say that I really thought that this was a great review from Roxanne on your blog, to whom I have been enjoying all of her books. This new series will not let you down.

Just love Rocki's books!
ReplyDeleteThe best beach I have ever been to by far is on Antigua. My hubby and I went there for our honeymoon. They have over 365 beaches on an island about 32 square miles in size.
Prettiest beach? The Florida panhandle beaches where the sand is white and the water is emerald green.
ReplyDeleteNo need to sign me up for the prize as I already have the books. I'm so looking forward to the upcoming Billionaire and Bride books!
*waves madly at Rocki* Love this series. Prettiest beach? Big Sur. I'm all about waves, rocks, and mountains, instead of bikinis. LOL

The prettiest beach I have been to is Coranodo beach in San Diego, CA. We went this past summer for our first family vacation in over 7 years and loved it. Would recommend it to anyone.
ReplyDeleteLoved the first four in this series so I am excited to read these additions.
Thanks so much!

ReplyDeleteI would say the beach I visited many years ago in Maui. I love Roxanne St. Claire's writing.
