At Last

At Last is the latest book in the Lucky Harbor series from NYT bestselling author Jill Shalvis. From the back cover.~

HER LOVE HAS COME ALONG . . .

Amy Michaels loves her new life in Lucky Harbor. A waitress in the local diner, she's looking forward to her first weekend hike through the mountains. But when a wrong turn takes her off the trail, she finds herself up close and personal with forest ranger Matt Bowers. And even though she's tempted to kiss that sexy smile right off his face, she won't make the mistake of getting involved with the town heartthrob.

A former cop whose life went south, Matt doesn't let anyone get too close. But something about the feisty beauty caught his eye the moment he first saw her in the diner. After a hot night under a starry sky, Matt can't deny their attraction-or the fact that for the first time in a long time, he feels the stirrings of something more. Now it's up to Matt to help Amy see that, no matter what is in their past, together they can build a future in Lucky Harbor.

I was lucky enough to get an early copy of At Last from NetGalley, and can’t wait for the official release date to add to my keeper shelf. I a huge fan of Jill Shalvis and she has been an auto-buy author of mine for years.

I’ve loved each of the Lucky Harbor books so far and was glad to get to know more about Amy and Matt with At Last. First I have to say Matt totally joins my book boyfriend list. I loved him from the moment he first appeared on the page and really loved watching him fall for Amy. Amy has lots of baggage from her past that keeps her from wanting anything more than a physical relationship with Matt. Since Matt also has some baggage of his own, he is fine with that choice. Of course, neither really can stick to that physical-only relationship once real feelings start to develop.

I like reading books with super sexy love scenes. Jill Shalvis totally delivers with every single book. When Matt and Amy were in their only having sex for sex sake, the scenes were hot. Once they realized there were real feelings there, they were sizzling at times and sweet and playful at other times.

While Tara and Ford are still my favorite couple from the Lucky Harbor series, Amy and Matt are really a close second for me. I loved the sexual tension they had and how protective they were of one another. The official release date for At Last is June 26, 2012 and I suggest you pre-order or run out to your favorite bookstore to pick up your own copy.
