Deja Demon is the latest book in The Days and Nights of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom series by Julie Kenner. From the back cover~
Between attending gala fund-raisers for her husband's political campaign, training her teenage daughter to wield a crossbow and a stiletto, potty-training a toddler, and her increasingly complex personal life, Kate hardly has time to prepare for the impending chaos: a neighborhood Easter party that has her buried in eggs.
Keeping the local kiddos in line will talk all of Kate's skills as a mother and Demon Hunter, just when she'll need them the most. An old enemy has descended upon San Diablo-along with a full-blown army of the undead and a powerful demonic ally. Once again, its' up to Kate to save the world. Good thing she can multitask!
Deja Demon is a fun action-packed story, that picks up right where Demons are Forever ended. Kate is a Demon Hunter, who still hasn't revealed many of her secrets from her past to her husband Stuart. Kate works to keep her life together while continuing to battle the Demons that have taken up residence in San Diablo. Kate, with the help of Allie, her daughter, and Laura, Kate's best friend, must figure out who the latest Demon is who is threatening Kate's life. Kate must keep many balls in the air to take care of her family and her work.
I really enjoyed Deja Demon and look forward to future books in the Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom series. Some of the situations Kate gets into made me laugh out loud, before jumping because of the action scenes. Kenner writes a winner with Deja Demon.
I read the first in this series and really enjoyed it. I have the second in my TBR stack and look forward to it.
ReplyDeleteI really love this series. I've read many books by Kenner, and I think this is my favorite series of books she has written.
