Naima Simone is a new to me author. And if all her books are as amazeballs as this one, she may very well become one of my favourites. 

This book has all the feels. It's crazy hot and delicious, and heart shattering all at the same time. If I wasn't drooling over tatted up Knox, then I falling apart from sadness. 

Eden and Knox are still trying to pick up the pieces after they lose someone they both love so much. Eden lost her husband, Connor, who is also younger brother to Knox. Oh! And Knox loves Eden. He has always loved Eden. Complicated? That doesn't even begin to describe their situation.

There so much push and pull going on in this book. And honestly, that makes this story believable. I mean, who wouldn't be completely confused about falling in love with your dead husband's brother. Or falling in love with your dead brother's wife. Ya, crazy complicated!

I loved everything about their journey. I loved watching them wade through the grief and open up to love. It was hard to read sometimes; I could feel their pain on my chest. It was palpable.

There are very few authors who can pull me in with their writing from page one, but Ms. Simone did just that. The plot was rich with details and emotions that made it so easy to fall in love with the characters.

I can hardly wait for the next book. I hope is Jude's story! 

So ya, just go buy the book. It's as simple as that.

Michael's Wings was basically one of the best gifts Tiffany Reisz has ever written for me. Michael and Griffin are my boys and remain two of my absolute favorite characters in the Original Sinners series. I pretty much re-read/re-listen to The Angel at least once or twice a year to experience when they fell in love all over again.

I loved each of the stories in this anthology and can only say if you are fans of the series and of Michael and Griffin particularly, you need to hit one-click as soon as it appears on the page of your favorite retailer’s website. I had read some of the stories as freebies from Ms. Reisz on her website, but had missed a few as well. I only fell more in love with my boys with each story and absolutely loved the time we spent with Nora and Michael. I love that when Michael needs his Mistress, she is always there for him and that Griffin totally gets his need to be with and around Nora at times. 

I still need to get the print copy to go on my Original Sinners shelf in my home library, but am so glad that I have Michael's Wings on my kindle so I can re-read over and over again each story about Griffin and Michael. I highly recommend Michael's Wings to all fans of the Original Sinners series, and also because of spoilers, suggest you be caught up on the series before reading, unless you don't care about reading spoilers from future books.

Damien. I can't find the words to describe how much I adore this hero. He's broody and kind of mysterious. But that's what he wants you to see. Under all that is a vulnerable man who's never truly been happy. His brothers are his rock, and he loves them fiercely, but he's never considered himself worthy of the love that comes from a healthy relationship with a woman. He's convinced himself that he doesn't need or want it. It's messy and he can't control it. Damien controls all things in his life. 

I was a little put off by the situation that brought Damien together with his heroine, Emma. He's her employer, but it was the situation that brought them together intimately. I think the author handled it very tastefully. I didn't get the icky or cheap feeling that I was thinking might come. Cherrie Lynn knows how to take sometimes uncomfortable circumstances and make them ok. She's not afraid to write about stuff that'll make you raise an eyebrow. I love that about her writing! 

Emma is my favourite kind of heroine. She's smart and wickedly sassy! She's had a thing for Damien since she started working for him, and while she'd like to be horrified at the circumstances that brought them together, her girly bits have taken over her common sense. Yay!!

Man, I love the push and pull in this book! When Damien lets you see beyond his steely exterior, you can see his affection and growing love for Emma. 

Ummm...this book is panty melting. Seriously freaking hot! Out of all three books in this series, this one is by far the sexiest. I liked it...a lot! 

I always say that I love those "black moments" in a romance. It's the point in the story where you think the characters can't come back from. You're heart is broken for them and you've almost given up. There's a climatic scene where Damien and Emma finally have it out. They lay their cards on the table. I swear, my heart was in my damn throat the whole time! I could feel the burn in my eyes. I know it sounds crazy, but that's my favourite part. I like to feel their sorrow so intensely that it feels like my own. That is fantastic writing, in my opinion, if you can make that happen!

Cherrie Lynn is an extremely talented writer. I could feel what her characters were feeling. I could see their facial expressions vividly in my mind. I wasn't sure she could out due the previous two books in this series...I was wrong. While this book doesn't have quite the heavy sadness that the others did, it still gave me all the feels. There's so much emotion, it's like being on a roller coaster. I was up and then down dozens of times. It was quite simply, perfect. 

While this book can be read as a stand alone, do yourself a favour and start with book #1, Raw Deal. You'll be happy you did!

I have been a fan of this series from book #1! It's like crazy sexy James Bond! There's tons of spy stuff and kick ass action. There's also a whole lot of scorching sheet yoga! 

I have to be honest here; I struggled at the beginning because I couldn't get a feel for the chemistry between Nick and Hayley. It just wasn't there...at first. This book had a slow burn to it. I found that a bit frustrating, but in the end, I think that's how it needed to go. There were so many trust issues; it created a huge obstacle for them. It took some time, but I was eventually able to connect with Hayley and Nick. 

Nick is broody. Like, really growly and broody! Does it make me weird that that makes me adore him? It makes me want to fix him, and to pick up the pieces of his life for him. He can also be really jerky. That wasn't so endearing, but it worked for the story.

I really liked Hayley. She has been dealt a shit hand, but she doesn't play the damsel in distress card. She wants to be part of the plan to help get her life back. She isn't willing to sit back and let Nick fix everything.

The verbal sparring scenes between these two was ridiculously funny. She keeps him on his toes, and he drives her batty. One of my favourite things about this series is that I get to "visit" with characters from previous books. Lexi Blake writes humorous dialogue like no one else. I find myself giggling often. I especially love the scenes with Ian Taggert and his wife, Charlotte. Those two never fail to light up the pages with their witty banter!

As with every book in this series, there's great attention to detail. I'm always shocked when I get to the end of a book by Lexi Blake, because I'm all like...I never saw that coming! I adore a book that keeps me guessing with all the twists and turns. 

The kinky scenes in this book are spicy and succulent. Seriously, the heroes in this series will turn you inside out with their filthiness...yum! 

While I struggled with the hero and heroines lack of chemistry at the beginning, I still really liked this book! It didn't take long before I was firmly immersed in the Masters and Mercenaries world, and enjoying the adventure with Nick and Hayley! I'm really REALLY looking forward to the next book! That little bit at the end of the epilogue was enough to have me completely intrigued about the next set of characters and their journey.

I have been waiting to get my hands on this book! It's book #3 in a fantastic series. Eden Summers is wickedly brilliant, and this book doesn't disappoint!

Brute is a no holds barred kinda guy. He tells it like it is. He's growly, and kinda mean. He's also sex personified! I really wanted to dislike Brute, I really did. There wasn't anything about his personality that was endearing to me...at first. I had to look for the subtle things, I had to dig deep. Slowly but surely I was able to get glimpses into what was lurking beneath his rough exterior. 

Pamela is searching for a man who can make her body sing and her heart flutter. Brute can take care of the first one, but he doesn't deal in emotions. Every woman at the club seems to fall all over themselves for a night with Brute, but not Pamela. She wants him, but she doesn't have time for his bullshit. This confuses and intrigues Brute! I loved this about her! I loved that she was strong enough to not put up with his surly attitude. Pamela was a refreshingly quick-witted heroine!

Oy! These two have baggage...a lot of baggage! The difference between them is that Pamela knows what her issues are and wants to change them. Brute is content with the status quo. I enjoyed watching Pamela pull back the layers that make Brute who he is. He, of course, didn't go down without a fight. And that just made the process that much more exciting. 

The first two books in this series were crazy sexy, but Brutal Sin was scorchingly erotic. Like, really goddamn hot! Brute has a seriously wicked way with words...and his fingers. 

I devoured this book. If it weren't for my children needing to eat (why do they need to eat everyday?) I wouldn't have come up for air until the last page. The witty comebacks from the heroine kept me giggling, and the brooding from the hero kept my heart hurting for him. Eden Summers is a brilliant storyteller. I continue to be swept away by her likeable characters and incredible writing. 

I'm sad that this series has come to an end. I wish there were more stories that needed to be told, but all good things must come to an end. For the best enjoyment I suggest starting from the beginning with book #1, Shot of Sin.
