Bound by Guilt Tour

TitleTrakk.com Blog Tours Presents:

Bound by Guilt
by C.J. Darlington
Published by Tyndale House

Shuttled between foster homes, Roxi Gold will do anything to fit in. Soon she’s traveling the country stealing rare books from unsuspecting bookstores. Police officer Abby Dawson has seen the worst of society—and not just at work. One fateful night, both their lives are changed forever. One searches for justice, the other finds herself on the run. Will the power of forgiveness set them free?

I was contacted by the author to join the blog tour for Bound by Guilt and given a copy of the book from the publisher. Bound by Guilt was the first book I had read by C.J. Darlington, but definitely won’t be the last.

Bound by Guilt is filled with characters that inspire strong feelings in the reader. I really liked many of the characters in the story, but Roxi was my favorite. Roxi goes from a scared young woman who will do anything to fit in with a family, to a scared young woman searching for a way to make things right. Much like anyone else, she stumbles along the way, but was truly blessed to meet people who wanted to help.

I really felt like Bound by Guilt was more Roxi’s story than the other characters. To me, Christy, Abby, Hunter, Diego, Irene, Stan, and especially Jan and Keith were put in Roxi’s life to lead her to where she needed to be. Abby also had some major choices to make in this story, but overall it was about what and who Roxi needed to become.

I loved Bound by Guilt and look forward to reading more books by C.J. in the future. As I haven't read C.J.'s first book, I've added Thicker than Blood to my ever growing to-be-read list.

Great job! You kept me turning the pages.
