Liza’s Review:

I absolutely adored each of the stories in Tall, Dark, Billionaire Texan. The first 3 stories are about the Blackwell brothers Ryder, Jase, and Luke. The 4th story, which is a bonus story, is about Noah Christensen, who's brothers are featured in Mandy Baxter's Texas Heartthrob series that was released last year.

I really loved Ryder and Lara's romance in The Billionaire Cowboy. I loved most of all that Lara had repeatedly rebuffed Ryder's advances in the past, as she was more concerned about her reputation than taking a chance on him. Even before their first kiss, they had great chemistry. I loved that Ryder had to work to get Lara see the real him and while their relationship really moved fast, I totally bought it as they had known each other for some time.

Up next was Jase and Avery's story in The Billion Dollar Player. There was totally instant attraction between them, but Avery was very hesitant to actually spend time with Jase. After all she is a waitress and he is an NFL player for the Dallas Cowboy. However, their chemistry and Jase's persistence didn't keep them apart for long. Fabulous chemistry and the fact I could tell each had real feelings for the other made is super easy for me to buy this romance lasting long-term.

Rocked by the Billionaire was my absolute favorite story in this book. I love a reunion story and Ms. Baxter did an amazing job with Luke an Kaleigh's story. OMG it was the hottest story of the four and I wanted it to last forever. I absolutely loved that even after being apart for 8 years, Luke and Kaleigh still totally loved one another, yet had to work out the logistics of their 2 very different jobs and lifestyles. I won't lie, I kinda cried just a bit at how Luke proved he would do anything to make his life fit in with Kaleigh's. Totally swoon worthy. Add in the smoking hot chemistry between them, and they were my favorite couple.

Noah and Naomi's story in The Billionaire Sheriff was really the sweetest of the 4 stories. Noah and Naomi had both been attracted to one another from the moment Naomi came to town, but because of Naomi's past, she tried to keep herself at arm's length from everyone. Of course her past shows up and Noah has to help her out. I totally felt the attraction between Noah and Naomi, but didn't connect with them as a couple as much as I did with the other 3 couples. I did like the bit of mystery in The Billionaire Sheriff, but just didn't enjoy the romance part of the story as much as other stories from Ms. Baxter.

Overall I really enjoyed Tall, Dark, Billionaire Texan and loved getting to read each of the Blackwell brothers' stories and getting to read Noah Christensen's story. I look forward to reading more stories from Ms. Baxter in the future.

THE BILLIONAIRE HEARTBREAKER

In The Billionaire Heartbreaker by Mandy Baxter, Travis Christensen's life is one big party. Reily Martin never met an image she couldn't make squeaky clean. So when the coach of the Dallas Stars hires her to reform their bad-boy goalie, Reily is more than up to the challenge. Liza’s Review:

I've enjoyed Mandy Baxter's books in the past but have to say the Christensen brother’s books have been my most favorite ones ever.

Reily Martin is a super strong character. I love that she is up for the challenge of dealing with the persona Travis Christensen portrays to the media. Of course the job with the Stars will help rebuild her career, since she is starting over with her very own PR company. I loved that she was tough enough to take on Travis even when he was being a total tool to her. I mean honestly Travis was a total ass to Reily in the beginning and she didn't take any of his crap without giving it right back to him.

Travis Christensen is pretty much a man-whore who also happens to be the best goalie in the NHL He also is full of attitude when he meets with Reily for the first time and is basically told to shape up or he will be benched or possibly kicked off the team. I did love that Travis flirted shamelessly with Reily and she didn't believe he could possibly see her that way. There was so much more to Travis than the man-whore persona he showed to the world. I loved that he saved himself for his family and that he allowed Reily to see the real him.

The chemistry was pretty hot between Reily and Travis from the moment they met. Yes he was an ass, but it didn't diminish the fact they were both attracted to one another. I loved once they finally gave into their attraction. Seriously smoking-hot love scenes between them. I would have loved them to not have any issues and have an easy happily every after, but the realism of them having an issue made me love their story even more.

The Billionaire Heartbreaker was another winner in The Billionaire's Club: Texas Heartthrobs series. Honestly I've loved the first 3 books in this series and really hope we get more stories.

Nikki’s Review:

I seriously have a crush on Mandy Baxter's writing...and her heroes! I couldn't contain my happiness when this one was sent to me for review! I was desperate for Travis' story. Damn, it was so good!

After having small glimpses of Travis in the two previous books, I was crazy curious about this playboy. Surely he was as yummy as his brothers. And maybe there was more to him than partying and banging models. Digging into this mans head was a trip!

When straight laced, Reily Martin is hired to tame this bad boy, her world is thrown off its axis. She doesn't have time to become a hot billionaire athlete’s next flavour of the night. However, her girlie parts disagreed...a lot! She, and said girlie parts never stood a chance!

Travis has to get his shit together, and fast or he's off the ice and possibly finished with the NHL forever. I love how these two are so vastly different in their day-to-day lives but at the heart of it, they want and appreciate the same things. The part where Reily takes Travis shopping for a new look was hilarious! He's a jeans and t-shirt kinda guy, and she wants him GQ'd up. I could totally imagine his facial expressions. Kinda a cross between being subjected to a dutch oven and maybe shovelling horse shit! I was snorting with laughter! Mandy Baxter wrote really great banter between the two; it was highly entertaining.

I was happy to see a different, softer side of Travis. Getting to observe him with his family gave me a new perspective on him. I quickly discovered that there are many facets to this man. He's not all booze and women. He's a devoted uncle and brother, and he quickly became devoted to Reily.

Reily didn't just swoon over him...at least not overtly. She was pretty swoony on the inside though. Her plan didn't include the broken heart that was sure to accompany Travis. Thankfully she didn't pay attention to her sensible plan and thoughts.

This relationship wasn't an easy forgone conclusion. There were bumps, which made it real. I liked how they both had to learn to see beyond what was shown on the outside. They had to dig to see the real stuff inside.

Reily and Travis can scorch the sheets! They were simply wicked together, and Mandy Baxter writes awesome, hot monkey sex! Thank you, Mandy!

This series has been a complete delight! I've enjoyed each book so much. I've connected with the characters and their stories. The writing is solid and keeps me more than engaged. If I can giggle and swoon while reading a book, I feel like I've hit the jackpot! With this series, I win every time. I can hardly wait for the next book!

Nikki’s Review:

I was so damn happy to dive into this book! I had just finished book one in this series and I couldn't wait to read about another Christensen brother! I loved the first book in this series. Nate was uber yummy. But holy hell, Carter Christensen knocked my freakin' socks off!

Carter has been in the bowels of grief for almost two years. He loved his wife with his whole heart. She and their twin daughters were his world. Now he's had to find a new normal for his spitfire girls. It hasn't been easy, especially when he'd rather close up his heart and forget reality. But he can't do that, he has his babies to love and protect. Tess Adams is looking for a new normal too. She ran from New York to nowhere Texas, to mend a broken heart.

I love Tess! She's a balls to the wall kinda gal! She calls Carter on his crappy attitude and doesn't hold back. He is intrigued by this little hellion who sticks her nose in his business. The Sparks fly the moment these two meet. I loved the back and forth of their first conversation, argument is more like it. Neither is willing to back down but there's definite chemistry there. The kind of chemistry that is scorching hot. Ms. Baxter knows how to write characters that have this crazy magnetic pull. She can make you fall in love with two people who are different in so many ways but so completely right for one another! It's seriously flawless in its execution.

This book left me with a lumpy throat several times. I love a good ugly cry. And man, did I ever have a good one in this book. Like snot and Kleenex worthy! Carter says some pretty harsh stuff to Tess, leaving her devastated. It left me pissed and eager to see this hottie grovel. This particular scene was full of emotion; so much anguish, grief, lust, and love. It had the full kit and caboodle! I loved every second of it!

Bloody hell...these Christensen brothers are lethal with their tongues...ummm, in a couple of ways actually. The filthy sweet nothings are panty-dropping deliciousness. Mandy Baxter can write sex. Like, the kind that may have you seeking out your partner! Sigh...ya, I liked it.

Carter has to let go of his guilt that he's betraying his dead wife in order to fully let Tess in. I could feel his grief. It was palpable and it sat on my chest. Tess has her own issues. Trusting Carter not to break her heart isn't easy. These likeable characters had me rooting for them from the start. I needed them to find their peace and happiness. Mandy Baxter didn't disappoint!

I read book one and two in a 24 hour period. I have a hangover. But that's a good thing! I like the lingering "feels" that I have. I find myself thinking about these fictional people while I'm going about my day. That there, is the sign of a well-written book. I can't wait for the next brother to fall to his knees for another strong, worthy heroine! And I suspect Travis Christensen will fall pretty damn hard!

Liza’s Review:

Mandy Baxter's Billionaire books are my new crack. I'm not sure if it is because I've fallen in love with the Christensen brothers for being so different from your average billionaires, but I need more of these books.

I liked Tess from the moment she appeared on the page. She didn't take any crap off her cheating boyfriend when she caught him with her best friend, and moved across the country to get a fresh start. She also has no problem standing up to her neighbor when his twin daughters take up refuge in her barn to run away from him for being so grumpy. I also loved she had no idea who he was or that he was the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. Seriously cracked me up.

Carter really is a good dad to his twins. Yes he is pretty cranky after being at the cabin for a week, but his girls have so much energy, any single parent would be cranky by that point. I love both Tess and Carter were attracted to one another pretty quickly, and yet they included the girls in their time together in the beginning. I knew it wouldn't be an easy road for Tess and Carter as a couple once he talked to his brother about his feelings of guilt about moving on after his wife's death. Yes it had been 2 years, but she was the love of his life and it made me love him even more that he wanted to protect that love. Of course, Carter and Tess have such smoking hot chemistry, they aren't able to stay away from each other for long. Especially when the girls go away to spend the night with their Uncle Nate.

I have to say my emotions were a little all over the place while reading The Billionaire Single Dad. I wanted Carter and Tess together so much, him pulling back made me want to punch him. While at the same time I wanted to hug him for the fact he still loved his wife and was afraid of loss again. Tess totally got both Carter and his girls, and it made me love her even more for the patience she showed them all.

The Billionaire Single Dad was another winner from Mandy Baxter for me. I actually have her next U.S. Marshall book on my kindle right now to read and I can't wait to dive back in for another Mandy Baxter story.

Nikki’s Review:

Hot damn! I love when I find a new to me author and the book is fantastic! Seriously, I struggle with trying new stuff because I'm worried about not connecting with the authors writing style. My first Mandy Baxter book won't be my last.

Nate Christensen is ready to give away every cent his late father left him. He doesn't want anything to do with his old mans legacy. Chloe Benson runs a program for at risk and disadvantaged kids, and could use some of that Christensen money...and fast!  The doors to her organization are about to close and the very idea breaks her heart. Instead of using her good business sense and securing some funds, she falls head over heels for the jaded and brooding, Nate.

This book was smokin' almost from the get go! I wasn't sure going in if it was a sweet or steamy read. Steamy. It was so damn steamy and delicious. Sweet baby Jesus...Nate has a filthy mouth that left me panting and all tingly feeling. There was something about this character that just did it for me. He's hurting and I wanted to soothe his soul, make him better. He's dealing with a few past issues that are eating away at him. Chloe is the first person to help him find a measure of calm. She's struggling with being honest with Nate, about why she was originally seeking him out. Now that her heart is all tangled up with him, she's not sure how to be open about it. The last thing she wants is for Nate to think that she's only interested in his inheritance.

I loved these two together! They were like puzzle pieces connecting. The conversations between them were so well written. There were tons of sexy banter but also some real emotionally driven discussions. I felt like I was really going to know them. I love how Nate was able to let Chloe see inside his heart and how she was able to clearly understand his jumbled thoughts. Sigh...these two belonged together! After a huge misunderstanding and a crap ton of grovelling on the heroes part, these two find their way to each other so completely.

Ms. Baxter has written a solid story. It was a fairly quick and extremely enjoyable read for me. I'm so happy I decided to pick up this book. I can hardly wait to dive into Nate's brothers books! The secondary characters were equally as intriguing and likeable. Man, I love finding new books and authors that ring all my bells!

Liza’s Review:

I've read and enjoyed books by Mandy Baxter in the past. I have to say that Christmas with the Billionaire Rancher is my current favorite book ever from her.

I absolutely fell in love with Christmas with the Billionaire Rancher. Nate Christensen wants nothing to do with the money he inherits from his father and I absolutely loved that he really just wanted to be a rancher, yet has been thrust into the family business. I also loved that Chloe came the Nate's father's memorial service to ask for money for her foundation. That takes some major balls and I loved how much Chloe loved the kids her foundation helped and would do anything for them.

I was not expecting the absolutely steam up my kindle screen sexiness that occurred between Nate and Chloe. OMG the hotness started with Nate propositioning Chloe in the coat closet, and if they were in the same room, it never went away. There are plenty of sexy times between Chloe and Nate, but they also connected on an emotional level as well, which made their chemistry even stronger. I absolutely fell in love with them as a couple.

I adored Christmas with the Billionaire Rancher and can't wait to read the other books about the rest of the Christensen brothers. Christmas with the Billionaire Rancher was a really fast and satisfying read for me, and I highly recommend it.
