Bitterhorn, Texas Book 4

I was lucky enough to get a review copy thanks to Carina Press through NetGalley. 

I usually don't read books in a series out of order. However, with the Bitterhorn, Texas series by Stacy Gail, I've read them completely out of order and can say there is no problem keeping up with the series if you read them out of order.

I was so excited to get Coe's book. I've honestly wanted it since I first met him when reading Starting from Scratch last year. I didn't know all of his history, but knew some of it wasn't pretty and knew it would take a strong woman to be his match. Miranda Brookhaven is not only strong enough, but stubborn enough to stand up to her family and Coe. 

The chemistry between Coe and Miranda is strong from the moment they see each other again. Even with the misunderstandings from their past, neither can seem to stay away from the other. While Coe claims to hate anything do to with a Brookhaven, he can't seem to stop trying to protect and take care of Miranda. While Miranda keeps saying she is only in town to set the past to rights, she can't seem to stay away from Coe.

The entire time I was reading this story I wanted to hate everyone in Miranda's family for not taking care of her and even was angry at Coe initially. However, the more time Coe and Miranda spent together the more I realized this was her dad's plan to try and fix his own mistakes. Ms. Gail excels at making me feel every single emotion when I read her stories, and she did it once again with Where There's a Will.
