Can't Buy Me Love

It's Tag Crane's job to be the life of the party. Traveling from one exotic locale to another is just part of running the luxurious Crane Hotel empire. But even paradise isn't perfect. To muzzle the problem, Tag charges downstairs . . . right into the most beautiful, blond distraction he's ever seen.

Dog-sitting by day, bartending by night. It's not exactly the life Rachel Foster dreamed of. But when Tag Crane rushes in, all mountain-man shoulders and obscenely sexy smile, needing her help for the Crane Hotels, it's a fantasy come true. What's the harm in a fun no-strings fling? Only a fool would give her heart to a billionaire player like Tag-until suddenly the one man who can't be caught is the one flirting with forever . . .

Nikki’s Review:

This series is so much fun! The Crane brothers are delectable and so infuriating all at the same time. I was beyond excited to dig into Tag's book.

Tag Crane is the ultimate playboy. He never lets emotions cloud his rendezvous' with the women he spends time with. He enjoys their company, lets them down easy and somehow still remains completely lovable.

Rachel Foster is my favourite kind of heroine. She's smart and spunky with enough vulnerability that makes her relatable. She's been let down and betrayed by someone that she trusted and thought she loved. But she's determined to put the pieces back together and forge a new path...whatever that may be.

I got such a kick out of these two! The witty and sarcastic banter had me giggling through much of the book. Tag is ridiculously cocky and he's aware of his affect on Rachel...and most women. At times I was all like..."did he just say that?" And I totally wanted to smack him a time or two! But damn...I adored him at the same time! He's a good guy. I loved the internal struggle; I loved his confusion at how this spitfire of a woman could make him want things that he's never considered before. Oh the power of lust and then love.

I enjoyed watching Rachel go through an evolution of sorts. At the beginning she's stand offish and not willing to jump. But as her character developed, her bravery started to shine through. She has these breath taking moments of clarity that were so beautiful. I felt like fist pumping when everything just became clear to her!

The chemistry between Tag and Rachel was piping hot! Jessica Lemmon is brilliant at writing sexual tension! Every time they'd get close to smokin' hot monkey sex, Ms. Lemmon would yank them back! It was frustrating but completely necessary. It just made the moment when they finally bumped uglies all the more explosive! And Jesus...what a relief it was when it finally happened! Sigh...it was yummy!

There's lots of push and pull and tons of conflict that has to be plowed over in this book. But what worthwhile journey doesn't? The slow build of their relationship was exactly what the characters needed. It was perfect.

You get a few glimpses of the third Crane brother, Eli in this book. There's a whole lot of emotion and a few tears surrounding his presence in this story. I can hardly wait to get my pudgy little digits on his book! This series is just another example of the wonderful writing that Ms. Lemmon is capable of and known for. The characters are "people" that you come to care about. If a book can make me think about the characters lives long after I've finished reading it, then in my opinion, it's bloody brilliant!
